"What about this dress?"
My mom was holding an ugly yellow dress. Possibly the ugliest dress I had ever seen in my whole life.
"That is vile!" I said, making a face.
My mom rolled her eyes, "You're so dramatic!"
"Why do I have to get a dress anyway, why can't I just get a pair of jeans or something?"
"Look you can get other things too, I just think you need to have a nice dress. You never know when you need one" she told me, looking through dresses.
"Fine" I sighed, rolling my eyes. I walked over to a rack and began looking through dresses. I picked up a tight black one.
"What about this?" I called out to my mom.
My mom raised her eyebrow, "Black? You have a lot of black."
"It's the only half decent dress here" I said.
"Fine look, whatever. I'll buy it if you like it" my mom told me, taking the dress from my hand, "Its €40, so you have another €110 to spend on clothes or shoes or something."
I smiled, "I'll just go look at the other shops, ring me when you get need me."
My mom nodded and I walked out the door. We were in a shopping centre, and it was crowded with people.
I spotted a Topshop at the other side of the shopping centre and began walking towards it. About twenty seconds later I was interrupted.
"Ella!"
I turned around. The boy from the lake was standing behind me. Just my luck.
"Eh, hi" I said.
"Shopping?" he grinned.
"Yeah I was just on my way to Topshop" I told him.
"I just finished work at Costa, can I join?" Jack smiled.
"Ehm ya I suppose"
"Great" he grinned, walking towards Topshop.
I followed him. What was this guy's deal? He seemed a bit weird.
"Ah, so what are you looking for?" Jack asked once we reached Topshop.
"A pair of jeans" I told him.
"Right, I'll find you a perfect pair" he announced, walking towards the jeans.
Jack was wearing a plain black top, black jeans and black vans. I guessed he probably had to for work.
I walked over to the jeans to find him looking through white jeans.
"These will slim out your legs and make your ass look great" he grinned.
"Did you actually just say that?" my jaw dropped. What a weirdo.
"Everyone loves a girl in white jeans" he winked.
"I'd ruin them. I need a new pair of blue ripped ones" I told him.
"Like this?" he grinned, picking up a pair from the shelf. They were actually just the jeans I was looking for.
"Yeah actually, thanks. I'll just get my size" I walked to the shelf and grabbed my size.
"Do you not wanna try them on and model for me" he winked.
"Shut up" I rolled my eyes.
"I'm so funny" Jack laughed.
