Welcome, welcome, one and all to our hot cocoa celebration of poetic souls
You've written the stories, and we've read them. Our hearts melted like the tiny marshmallows in the hot chocolate-y cup of goodness.
You have all done amazing as writers, but we also want to thank our fabulous judge who really helped make this award what it should be. Please give KarahOneg lots of love in the comments for all their hard work 🎋
And now for the results...
In third place we have "Simple Words From Within" by birdeyze with 41/50 points
Review:
I greatly enjoyed your first two poems in particular, they seemed so tender. It was refreshing to read poems from a different perspective and of a different theme. Don't lose sight of your structure though, see how you can manipulate the flow with line/sentence breaks, but don't overdo it either.

In second place we have "Heartbeats" by xRigorMortis with 44.5/50 points
Review:
I quite enjoyed your medium of presentation. It was refreshing to see poetry presented differently and uniquely. Although your language wasn't complicated, it made your voice stand out. The variety of themes and thoughts was refreshing yet still relevant to the overall theme.

And in first place with a score of 45/50 points we have "Midnight Butterflies" by IceBlueShadows
Review:
Something in your phrasing and thought really struck a chord with me. Your voice in your writing was very clear, and I enjoyed your creativity and word choices. At times, your short structure was just enough, but sometimes I wanted to read more- another stanza even. On one hand, you keep the reader wanting more, on the other, you risk leaving the reader unsatisfied. Intriguing.

Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated in our first Awards! Winners, we will be contacting you over the next few days for you to claim your prizes 🎋
