The next day after having dinner with Mr. Gardner, I woke up to a large snow fall. When I looked out the window of my apartment, the whole ground was filled with a thick layer of white. Cars, trees and buildings disappearing in the small blizzard outside.

I groaned in disgust knowing I'd have to drive in this weather and sit in semi-cold classrooms.

Getting dressed into something warm and grabbing my keys, I headed out the door to class. For once in the last month, I actually left at a decent time. Meaning I could get myself my morning tea.

Pulling up to the little café just down the road, I got inside and ordered myself my tea and muffin. They were having the special again of the Italian coffee, so I decided to pick up a cup for someone in particular. As well as a croissant.

They were quick to give me my order and I was able to make it to class a bit early. As expected, not many people were at school yet. The roads were pretty bad so I'd assume people either were taking their time, or deciding just to stay in bed.

As I gathered my stuff from my car, I looked up when I heard a car door shut. Looking over in the rather empty parking lot, I saw a familiar brown trench coated man stepping through the snow. I needed to get out and catch up but at the same time, I wanted to stay and watch him, walking with his black brief case and snow filled hair. Watching his every step to make sure there's no ice.

When he reached the shoveled path to his portable, I chose then to get out of my car with both drinks in hand. I did a little jog over the sanded parking lot and caught up enough for him to hear me.

"Mr. Gardner!"

He'd just opened his classroom door when he noticed me. Waiting until I got to the steps before he continued into the building. I followed behind and tried to close the door behind me, proving difficult as I had my hands full.

"you're here early Ms. Hill..."

I used my foot in a sad attempt to move the door, but it just wasn't working. He saw me struggling and came up to help, grabbing the door handle and shutting the door with zero effort. I let out a cold breath and lifted up the cup of coffee to him. He was mid walk to his desk when he saw what I was holding.

"For me?"

I almost cried at how cute he was. He carefully grabbed the cup from my hands and gave me a funny look with his brow raised. He had to know what it was.

He took a sip of the liquid and fluttered his eyes closed. The steam from the drink leaving his lips and fading up into the air.

"Thank you, I actually forgot my coffee at home this morning... and I really didn't want to drink the cafeterias brew."

I smiled knowing I made the right choice and reached into my bag to retrieve the croissant.

"I'm guessing you forgot to have breakfast too?" Handing him the bakery good.

His eyes lit up at the bag as he took it from my hand and looked up at me. No words would've had to've been spoken. The look he gave me showed all the appreciation.

I watched him open the bag and take a bite of the food. Looking back over to me to give a gesture like he was doing cheers. "Thanks sweetie"

No matter how many times he called me 'Darling' 'Sweetheart' or 'Sweetie' It still gave me butterflies. Knowing I was the girl her called that just made me feel like the luckiest one on the planet.
