Childhood Friends pt.1 (elementary years)

"Come on hurry up Miko! We need to meet everyone, We can't be late!"

I was running as fast as I could trying to keep up with Kisumi but his legs were way longer than mine and my short stamina couldn't keep up.
"Ugh, COME ON MIKO" He grabbed my hand and forcefully dragged making my pace the same with his now. "We're here" He said letting go of my hand. I dropped my hand to my knees "We made it... FINALLY. Are we late?" I asked. As I looked up he bursted out laughing. Was it because I was tired after running a short distance from our neighborhood? "Miko I snuck into your house and made your clock 30 minutes faster than the original time so we wouldn't be late. "WHAAAAAT?!?!" I yelled. "haha yeah sorry about that you always are slow to get ready so I had to do something. Anyways come on lets go inside and meet up with everyone"

As I walked in beside Kisumi I looked out at the pool where their swim meet was held. "Oh there's Mizuki, Momo and Sapphira... Oh and it looks like Natsuya is there with them too." We all went to the same elementary together and we always go to cheer on Haru, Makoto, Ikuya, and Asahi at their swim meets.
"MIKO!" Momo said coming up and hugging me. "Glad you two idiots could finally make it" Mizuki said with her arms crossed. "Yeah. What took you two so long?" Sapphira said poking her head from behind Mizuki. "Well..." I started to speak still having Momo hugging Kisumi finished off the explanation for me. "I set Mikes clock 30 minutes ahead of the actual time so we wouldn't be late but I guess that didn't really matter. We were even ru-" "I don't care" Mizuki and Sapphira said in synchronization. "AHAHAHAHA SOULMATE" they laughed and high-fived each other Kisumi stood there with a dumbfounded look on his face. "Hurry up doofis come sit down we save you two seats" Miko said while walking back to her seat with Sapphira . "Come on Momo lets go sit down now and get ready for the race" 

"Hey Iko nice to see you!" Natsuya greeted as I sat down next to him. Natsuya came up with Iko when we first met "Yeah it's been awhile! Are you here to cheer on Ikuya?" He laughed "Yeah of course I am I have to cheer on my little brother" I smiled "HEY LOVEBIRDS... THEY ARE ON THE DECK! THEY ARE GOING TO START THEIR RELAY! WATCH THEM" Mizuki said throwing her popcorn at us.
I turned my focus from Natsuya to the four of  them. The first one up was Makoto for back stroke.

It was silent all you could here was the count down till Makoto started swimming. He grabbed ahold of the grip and set off.

"GO! MAKOTO! GO!" We all were screaming "COME ON MAKOTO BUT YOUR ARMS IN IT!!!" Momo started screaming. She was the loudest cheerleader out of all of us for Makoto. I'm pretty sure her scream could be heard from the opposite side.

When he finally touched the wall next off was Ikuya with breaststroke.

"GO! IKUYA! GO! Natsuya started yelling. "HURRY UP IKUYA I DON'T HAVE ALL DAY HURRY UP AND SWIM! GO!GO!GO!" Mizuki yelled hanging herself over the ledge. "GET BACK YOU'RE GOING TO FALL" Kisumi said holding her back from falling. "She doesn't care" Sapphira said with a straight face and went back to cheering "GO! IKUYA GO!". "SWIM IKUYA!" I cheered.

As he went up one last time to breathe he touched the wall and next was Asahi with backstroke

"COME ON ASAHI!!!!" Kisumi yelled from the top of his lungs. Those two have been friends forever... hehe he's such a cheerleader. "GO ASAHI SWIM!!!!" We all yelled.

Finally as Asahi came up to touch the wall Haru was off.

All 6 of us stood there in awe as he started to dove in the water with his mesmerizing form. "woah" I heard Momo say under her breath. "LETS GO HARU!" Sapphira yelled breaking the silence between us. "YEAH LETS GO DOLPHIN SWIM LIKE YOU'RE ABOUT TO GET EATEN BY SHARKS" Mizuki screamed. We all looked at her... "Dolphin?..." We said synchronized. "Uh yeah the kid is always I the pool. I really don't think he has a life" She said with a serious look o her face. "Anyways.... LOOK HARU IS ALMOST TO THE WALL" Momo pointed out onto the race.

We looked out at Haru. He was so ahead of everyone as usual but still... we were nervous. It kind of felt all slow-mo watching him swim and us cheering him on when finally...

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY"

He did it. He touched the wall. The four of them won the relay!

All 6 of us left the bleachers to go congratulate them. "Hey you four good job I'm proud of y'all" Natsuya said to them while head patting Ikuya. "Yeah! I never get sick watching you! Especially you Makoto... I'M SO PROUD OF YOU I COULD CRY" Momo said while hugging him. "GOOD JOB GUYS... but I'm still better at swimming that all of you" Sapphira said pointing to the four of them. "Yeah... yeah... just hush with your complements they did okay" Muzuki said in a sassy tone "YOU THINK WE DID OKAY?!?! I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY A SWIM RELAY RACE" Asahi yelled into Mizuki's ear. "Shut up" she said as she pushed him away. "WOW YOU GUYS DID AMAZING! MAKOTO YOUR KICK OFF REALY SET THE SPEED FOR THE REST OF THEM! OH AND IKUYA YOUR BREASTSTROKE AHMAZING! ASAHI I WISH MY BACKSTROKE LOOKED LIKE THAT! AND HARU YOUR FREESTYLE GETS BETTER EVERY RACE!!! I AM SO PRO-" Kisumi was saying till I cut him off. "Ahem... anyways the 5 of them already said what I wanted to say I'm glad I get to watch you guys race all the time and learn for when I start racing. Anyways you four get in and let me take a picture of you" I said to them

"Get in close you four." "Ready? 3... 2... 1... SMILE"
