"Gunther, we need to go, it's getting late" a good friend of his, Allan, shook his shoulder. His legs and arms were going numb, but he didn't care, he wanted to stay with her til the end, even when she was six feet under.

Wonder how things got to this you may ask? Let me set the story.

Hardened Gunther McHaven, suffering college and getting himself through working a part-time cashier job at good ol' McDonald's, he thought his days were forever gonna be filled with blank and grayed out dullness.

Guess what? It didn't, at least for a while

That was when he found the love of his life, Carolle Maddiville, casual day at the job and he met her, he still remembers they're first conversation clear as day...

___________

"Hello welcome to McDonald's may I take.." 'Another carbon-copied day to rush by me like it's nothing...' He originally wanted to just pass his day shift, clock out and take a taxi back to the dormitories as fast as possible, maybe even slip in some Call Of Duty while he was at it. That was his plan...until a certain chocolate-brown haired individual came up to order...

"Um..hello? Sir, I'd really appreciate if you-" "A-Aah! S-Sorry, may I take your nu- order..?" He said hurriedly and nervously, way to go Gunther, stutter on the lady that caught your interest, real smooth...

The girl just chuckled to herself "Think you can get one past me? No, dumbass! Fine, here's my number.." she said she took out a pad of paper and ripped one leaf off, putting on her number "...but wait, what's your name?" "Ah..Gunther McHaven, you?"

"Carolle Maddiville"

She, now known as Carolle, said and gave him her number.

"Now on with my order! You're lucky this place is rather empty, or else somebody would've already complained that I was taking too long" Gunther just laughed sheepishly and took her order.

"I'm expecting at least a text later, Gunther" "Yeah, see you then"

And for the first time since working there, he was grinning, quite idiotically might I add.

_______________

He thought it would last forever, she was the one who added color to his grayscale self, the one who lit up his dim world, but of course, to someone like himself, one dot in a million, life didn't let the one good thing stay.

But before we get to the... let's just say downcast bit.

Let's see one more moment that will shake you later on.

_____________

June 23rd, Carolle had invited Gunther to stargaze with her.

June 25th, they went out to the Greenfield Forests near they're city, a good hour long drive, thank the heavens.

3:42pm, they set up they're tents, base set!

11:38pm, here we are.

Them, laying flat-pancake on the green grass, side by side, breathing in the relieving air of the vast wilderness, it was a refreshing contrast to the harsh fumes of the city. Carolle then said "Hey Gunther, have you seen the stars?" "Of course I have, one kind of question is that?" "No, like, have you really seen like, a myriad of them? Like the one you're seeing right now?"
