Story#3 y'all! Hope you enjoy, I just write these as I go 😅, so if it's trash that's why.
______________________________________Anxious
The one word that describes what Allie was feeling at that moment, she was in a line of people that were all waiting to take their share of food. This was the most famous food stall in the cafeteria, majority of the school always lines up at this stall, though the others wouldn't line up just because of how long the line was. The line even reached the comfort room!
Allie began to sweat, 'Is the line even shortening?' time seemed to drag on forever, she looked around her, everything felt like it was going slow-mo. 'Claire? Where are you? Aren't you supposed to be here? Did you ditch me? I've been waiting for what feels like hours!' She felt like crying, her best friend, her only friend, isn't here yet 'Did Aaron catch you?' so many questions swirling in her mind. It felt like an out of control hurricane was pounding, fighting to explode out of her head.
She tried to turn her head, everything felt slower than before, all the chatter became an unintelligible cacophony of voices, it irritated her so much.
5 minutes passed
6 minutes...
7 minutes...
8 minutes...
9 minutes...
10 minu-
'Why is everyone not moving?'
Everyone's mouths suddenly either were closed shut or agape but not moving.
She tried to move her head, she couldn't, she used all her strength 'What's going on?!' She was scared, afraid, terrified, appalled, every word to describe fear.
'Claire! CLAIRE!' She tried to yell, with every second passing she was more and more terrified.
______________________________________About 30 minutes had come and go, Allie had given up internally screaming, and panicking too.
'Is this how I die?'
For the first time since 30 minutes ago, something weird started happening again.
The shadows of all the students began gathering all over the walls, the ceiling, everywhere 'What now?!'
The room dimmed, it was incredibly dark, but still enough to see 'Allie, enough panicking, now is not the time' she told herself, a dark figure, no, dark figures, began passing through walls, through the students.
She heard laughing voices, sobbing voices, screaming voices, she felt like she was turning insane. "Allie..." A voice called her, a familiar voice.
"Claire?" When she asked that out loud she had realized she could move again, "Claire? Where are you? Are you okay?"
"A-Allie..."
"Claire?!"
"H-Help...m...me..."
"WHERE ARE YOU?!"
She ran, frantically, searching for her friend "Claire!" She ran even faster, dodging all the dark figures, forcing herself to look forward and ignore how scared she is.
The voice of her best friend led her to a hallway she's never been to 'Weird, I've been through basically every hallway in this school...' At the end of the hallway she spotted a rusty iron door, the hallway felt...off...it all felt a hospital, smelled like a hospital, everything felt light, airy, and cold.
She fought away those thoughts of suspicion 'After this, I'll lead Claire and I out of here, far away from this dump, might as well light a match and set it ablaze' She walked, for some reason, she walked a bit limply, despite not even injuring herself.
"Claire! Are you in there?!"
"S-Save...m....m...ME!"
"HANG IN THERE A LITTLE LONGER!"
She tried pushing the two doors open, she then leaned all her body weight on one door, she got in...
______________________________________Everything was pure white, "What the-" "Dearest Allie..."
Before her was an ebony black, femine figure "Who are you?!" Allie yelled.
"Why, it's me, your cherished friend Claire..."
"Y-You're not her..!"
"Allie..? Please don't be like the rest...they rejected me...they all left...I have turned them all into statues... realistic...time stuck... statues...are you l-like t-t-the re-rest...?" In the last part, the figure began sobbing, tears of...blood?!
"You're definitely not Claire! I'm out of here!" She turned around to run, she made it out of the door, and ran for her life, she took out her small flashlight that she normally would only use for earthquakes out of her backpack.
She turned it on just as a dark figure tried to run and attack her, as the light beamed on the figure, it disintegrated out of existence 'Light...their weakness is light...' She kept that in mind as she ran.
"Nowhere to hide...nowhere to run... let's play my little game..."
