I SAT there bored to hell as some French music that was put on high volume; thanks to Frenchie who was preparing a bullet for Butcher, dazzled my mind.

"Rounds coated in the same carbon metamaterial as his skin," Frenchie said handing him the black bullet made for Translucent.

"Will it work?" Butcher asked.

No, it won't

"Je ne sais pas," Frenchie said.

"Guys? What are you doing? Wait! No, no, no! Wait, wait!" Hughie shouted as Butcher rushed into Translucent's room ready to end him.

And bang.

His skin managed to reflect the bullet with no damage whatsoever.

"You stupid, fucking asshole," Translucent laughed hysterically. "I'm invincible. You stupid Motherfuckers. I'm fucking Translucent. I'm indestructible. It's only a matter of time before they come for me. You're fucking dead!"

Frenchie kicked the door closed making me hold back my chuckles.

"Well, that was great, guys. That was awesome," Hughie said.

"Frenchie, back later," Butcher said eyeing me for a second before he turned away.

"Where are you going?" Frenchie asked.

"Got an idea. Long shot, might help," Butcher said as he put his coat on.

"Now?"

"Yeah, well, it's all under control here, isn't it? Try not to bugger each other."

I watched from the counter as Hughie filled a cup with water before walking into Translucent's room.

"Hi. I... I thought you might be thirsty, so..."

How adorable.

"Well, if you don't want it, I can always..." I heard him say assuming that Translucent didn't take the cup.

"No, I want it. Cheers."

"So, listen, I need to ask you some questions about A-Train. When he burst through that woman the other day, Robin Ward... I... I need to know why. Where was he going? What was he doing?" Hughie said.

"Why? Was she your sister? Girlfriend?"

"Girlfriend."

"That's what all this is about? Christ. What makes you think I know anything about it?"
