Author's note: this is my first attempt at writing some smut and it's pretty pathetic. I'm sorry for all the cringe, you can skip the last parts, just imagine the sweet sweaty love-making instead of reading about it.

You're sitting in the dark in the hokage's office and repeatedly bang your fists and head on the desk whispering stupid! stupid! stupid! to yourself, afraid that you might die out of shame and embarrassment.

You've mistaken Obito's friendliness for possibility, feeding your crush and fantasies to the point where you almost...you almost...you almost made a huge fool of yourself.
He's friendly towards everyone, what weeereee you thinkiiiiiing. How could you not notice how he's around Riiiiin?  you say with another bang.
You've been blinded by those muscular arms and dreamy eyes and soft lips and uUUUuuuH stupid stupid stupid! and then another bang.
Ok ok ok but but but nothing happened, that's good, maybe they didn't notice. It's ok, right? uuuuuugh but I made it so obvious! I bet everyone was laughing behind my back about it you hit the desk again then you press your hands on your face so hard you start seeing weird little stars.
You inhale deeply and slowly exhale for a couple of minutes until your heart stops racing, your hands stop shaking and your ears stop ringing.
It's ok, it's not the end of the world, it's nothing. Yeah. It's nothing, you've been there before, with Kakashi, and you almost leaned in for a kiss that one time when he was actually leaning in to catch the pile of books you knocked over like the clumsy mess you are ugh bang. None of your reassurances make you feel any better. On the contrary, they just feel your self-loathing. But you persist.
And he knew about it all this time too! He should have fired me, that would have spared my feelings,  you try to encourage yourself but your stomach is still tied in a knot which grows even tighter when you hear a knock on the door. You look at the clock, 11pm, workday should be over but there's always someone left in the office, working late (usually you). Perhaps they've heard you. If it's an enemy, it must be a very polite one to knock before assaulting you.
You slowly open the door and peek, revealing just half of your face. Kakashi's standing in front of the door, hands in his pockets, head tilted, looking annoyed. You open the door and stare at him with your mouth ajar, not sure what to say. He tugs on your cloak and you remember you didn't get to give it back, so you proceed to remove it hastily and clumsily, too nervous to have any grace, with too many movements, banging your hand on the door and faking that it didn't hurt.

"I'm so sorry, hokage-sama! I forgot about it. Thank you for helping me" you say with a bow, handing him the cloak, desperate to finish this interaction and hopefully never talk to him again. Until the next day when you should be at work anyway.
He frowns, takes the coat but doesn't move or say anything. You're growing increasingly nervous under his gaze. You wrap your arms around yourself as if to hide and disappear.

"Do you need something from the office? I..um..I was looking over a report from today, uuuh...something caught my eye earlier and I couldn't..um..shake it off the entire night...I-uh had to get back here, you know, um, finish the..uhm..job haha, keeping half my mind at work like I promised, heh", you say nervously while massaging your hurt hand with the other hand, cheeks ablaze. You're a terrible liar, he sees right through you. He always has.

"What did you need it for?" you look up, your eyes scanning the ceiling as if you could find there a good enough lie but nothing comes to mind.

"I wanted to hide my dress", you say with a gulp.

"Because of Rin?" he asks as if it's nothing. It's almost infuriating that he dares step so close. You nervously scratch the top of your head, your intricate hairdo already a mess. You look at him with a deep sadness, biting your lower lip, unsure what to say
