"-I don't know what you guys think you're playing at, but I don't like it!" Draco hissed at Theo and Blaise. They backed away nervously.

"Mate, it was all fun and games, why are you so defensive? Could it be that you actually-" Blaise teased.

"-no." Draco interrupted massaging his temples.

"-that you actually fancy Granger!" Theo continued for Blaise. Pansy gasped and felt a hand cover her mouth.

"Be quiet!" She whispered and Pansy nodded. The two girls turned their attention back to the boys.

"I don't! You guys are switching up my words, I need sleep." Draco said rubbing his face and leaving. The two boys turned to each other and smirked. They were just about to leave when Pansy and Ginny interrupted.

"Now hold it right there, misters!" Pansy said in a funny voice. Theo tried to hold in his laugh.

Ginny came in and stroked her chin looking at them in a wise manner. The two boys started giggling at them.

"So? Malfoy fancies Hermione?" Ginny asked and they nodded.

"Say, boys? Shall we come up with a plan?" Pansy smirked and they smiled back at her evilly. Ginny patted Pansy on the shoulder, and joined in on the evil smiles.

"We shall." Theo said, looking at Blaise, a glint of excitement in his eyes.

A few days later, after the same routine over and over.

"Okay, first of all-" Ginny said hiding behind a bush in the courtyard, with her four friends. "-we need to break them up. How may you ask? Well-"

"-Just before we move on, Ginny, I saw Weasley making out with some girl a few nights ago." Theo said and Blaise nodded.

Ginny's eyes widened in surprise.

"-Well that is a small lead." Pansy said.

"We need Granger or Draco to catch Weasley in the act. If Draco does he'll tell Granger and if Granger does she will break it off. Then-" Blaise said, but was interrupted.

"-Then, we can move to phase two and try and set them up together." Theo continued, pushing a branch out of his face.

"Do you not think it will be too fast for her?" Pansy said looking at the boys who were getting ahead of themselves.

Blaise thought for a moment. "Draco can comfort her-" "-Yeah!" Theo agreed patting Blaise on the back. "Drake can comfort her." He finished.

Ginny gave them an unimpressed look.

"So that would mean that Malfoy has to be the one to find Ron cheating?" Ginny said. The three nodded in agreement.

"Alright, that's our plan now. Theo, where did you find Ron kissing another girl?" Ginny asked and he pointed towards the lake.

"See that tree? They were behind it, it was after curfew, a Friday." Theo whispered looking around.

"What were you doing at the lake after curfew?" Pansy asked curiously. Theo looked down to his left arm and became flustered, Blaise saw this.

He pushed Theo over on top of Pansy, making it seem like an accident.

"Whoops-" Blaise said, with not a hint of care. Pansy pushed Theo off of her gently and he smiled nervously at her.

"-Anyway- That's our plan. This Friday, all four of us will go and hide behind the tree across from it. We'll tell Draco to meet me and Theo there after curfew, at the wrong tree!" Blaise said snickering.

"-Oh! Smart. Then he'll find them and then tell Hermione." Ginny nodded approvingly.

"Sounds good." Pansy said, and they moved their gaze back to Ron, who was sitting on a bench with a girl.

"Honestly, Weasley looks too close for someone who is in a relationship with another." Blaise muttered.

"Maybe they're just very good friends." Theo grinned to himself but frowned when he saw Ron peck the girl on the lips and got up to leave. Theo fell back in surprise.

"Yeah, really good friends that they kiss each other." Pansy said obviously.

"Well at least we know now that he is actually cheating." Ginny said to Theo.

"Hey! I know what I saw." Theo said putting his chin in the air.

"Alright settle down." Blaise told them quietly. "In two days it's Friday, so on Friday I'll tell Draco we want to meet him at the lake after curfew. Right now just act normal, alright?" Blaise said looking at them and they nodded.

"Let's go to Dinner now, it's getting dark." Pansy said and they got up, walking back together.

Draco sat alone on the Slytherin table reading a book, when Pansy, Ginny, Blaise and Theo came and sat down across from him.

"Good evening." Theo said and Blaise mentally face palmed himself.

"Why did you guys all come in together? You friends now or something?" Draco said taking a bite from his chicken.

Theo and Pansy panicked.

"We were just going over potions with our partners, to make sure we are all on the right track." Ginny smiled sarcastically and Blaise nodded.

Draco shrugged, mumbling something about how their potions lesson wasn't until next week, and Hermione came and sat with them, glancing at the Gryffindor table for Ron, but he wasn't found. It didn't even feel like they were in a relationship, more like Hermione is the one chasing him around.

She sat in her usual spot next to Draco and started eating. She didn't know why she didn't mind sitting next to him, it was just her spot now. She was doing it for the sake of Pansy, right? She felt eyes on her and she looked up slowly.

"What?" Hermione asked and they all diverted their gaze down to their food.

"So? How are you Hermione?" Pansy asked and Hermione set her fork down. Draco listened in.

"I'm alright, just normal, nothing major. What about you, Pans?" Hermione asked giving her her full attention. There was something off about her to Draco.

"Oh! I think I'm okay. I'm glad this can be a normal year for all of us." She said looking at Ginny. Blaise snorted and they all looked at him.

"Are you okay?" Hermione asked him. Draco eyed him weirdly.

"Yeah- yes, yes I'm fine." He said drinking water.

Hermione finished eating and waited for her friends who were mucking up with the boys. It was loud and she could barely hear herself think.

"Granger." She heard from her right and she turned to him. He looked back at her.

"H-How are you, really?" He asked nervously, mentally slapping himself. He was usually so smooth with girls, not anymore. He ran his hand through his hair.

She glanced at the Gryffindor table. "Why do you ask?" She looked at her friends. Theo was balancing a spoon on his nose while Blaise, Pansy and Ginny cheered him on, throwing food in his mouth. She looked back at him.

"I think you lied to Parkinson, is something bothering you?" He asked genuinely, looking at Weasley at the Gryffindor table. Ron looked back at them angrily.

"You made him mad, I told you not to talk to me." Hermione said annoyedly.

The four friends stopped and noticed Draco's and Hermione close to each other, whispering.

"I don't know much about being with someone,-" He leaned in closer. "-but I don't think you should be scared of them." Draco said seriously.

"I-I'm not scared!" Hermione stammered nervously. "Don't you break thousands of girls' hearts? What would you know?" She finished, huffing. He rolled his eyes and went back to his food.

"I'm going to sleep now, goodnight guys." She smiled friendlily at the boys, avoiding Draco's eyes and said goodbye to Ginny and Pansy. She left to bed, while they continued eating and one by one, they left to their common rooms. That night Draco thought of Hermione, and Hermione didn't get any sleep that night.
