Gliding On The Ice ( Todoroki X Reader ) 🎄

The heat of the fire rose against your cold feet that were perched against the footstool, warmth consuming your toes that felt like they were about to fall off. The Christmas spirit was gone since it was definitely past it; however, the climate stayed the same as the cold atmosphere that took over your house. The decor was still up, the smell of cookies and turkey filled your smells. Candles and overwhelming stacks of presents against your wall still stood there. Waiting for their action in your life. The cozy blankets were bundled up against your body in a tight form, bringing you inner warmth.

The ring of the doorbell alarmed your wandering mind breaking the thought of when and where this next event was going to take place. Your eyes made your way over to the door, wandering towards it to have a small smile on your face. You knew who was there, and what they were expecting.

Opening the door, you were met with your boyfriend. Hands in pockets, and his blue and grey eyes landing on your warm face. The light snow in the background fell onto his jacket and the street lights were blurred by them. He smiled looking at your figure, looking down in a little blush.

"Well hello, good sir," you said, bowing a bit in the motion. A little giggle escaping both of your mouths.

"Are you ready?' he asked, a bit curious at your wear. Thinking that he was getting a surprise date, the clothing was a bit different than usual. He even dressed nice.

Searching your figure, he noticed a bag that looked pretty heavy. He offered to take it but you pulled it away, putting on your boots.

Fetching your keys and bag you launched your arm around his, closing and locking the door in the process. Todoroki and you walked out of your yard, him still eyeing the bag that was launched on your hand.

"Curious?" you asked, tilting your head to the side to block his vision.

"Well I guess I have to know what you're holding, guessing that it's not a surprise date..." he sighed. You huffed, expecting that little comment.

"Do you actually wanna know?" you said, rolling your eyes. A little smile cracked.

"I suppose so,"

Little silence came over between you two, searching your mind. You decided to mess with him a bit towards the end, only four more minutes. He can wait, plus he didn't seem that eager. Though he was, wants to be prepared on what to come to, mostly surprise you on the way or easily impress you.

"Actually, it's only four more minutes. You can wait, right?"

"Right."

"Couldn't I just make one of these myself?"

The loud chatter around the open park spread into the couple's ears watching the snow cover the open ground and top of the buildings. They were covered with it as the dim lights from the windows made their way out. Same with the street lights, only a slight blur to your vision. Fairy lights complemented the open rink, hanging off the sides of the walls and posts.

Skating rinks were fun.

"That way you don't need to pay for it." Todoroki sighed, watching your hands follow out into the booth. You rolled your eyes, giving a little 'thanks' to the cashier, and made your way over to the sides to be seated. Todoroki finally had a good look at the bag.

"I wanted it to be special," you replied.

Since Todoroki and you didn't get a nice chance to hang out during the holidays since hero work and other family got in the way, this was your only chance to actually get a nice day with him... or night. Right now, you know that he was in a toxic household on what is going on, and going out may help him relieve a bit.
