H-huh? I've never thought this would happen. I mean, I know that this happen before I enter the academy in the game but still!!

I was dumbfounded, and so was everyone else in the class. The student were whispering to each other. Some were about how sudden this was, and some were about the fact that the prince is here and that you might be able to pair with him.

Hah! I doubt. It's the ruthless crown prince!! You think he will choose you? Pfft. Please.

According to the game. The prince will be paired with his best friend. He refuse to add anyone else in the team. And threaten that if they don't let that happen, he wouldn't join the competition. Since this competition was as big as the UA sport festival, if the prince didn't attend, it will be very embarrassing.

"Well then. No more explaining, you guys should get to know each other and choose your partners." Professor Phill said as he clap his hands for everyone's attention.

Everyone started walking to each other and introduced themselves. The bullies left me and went to one of the girl in the senior class.

I was once again, alone. No one approach me and I didn't attempt to talk to anyone. They will just leave me out anyway.

I turn my head to where the prince was. Many people were swarming around him trying to introduce themselves. Then, a boy with dark blue hair spread them out.

Whatever. Just don't look at them.

Just as I was about to look away, my eyes met with the prince. Then, he approach me.

"Partner with me." The man said. His voice calm and deep giving shivers.
"!!!" My eyes widened. My jaw dropped. My body froze.

The air seem to have froze. My brain stopped working. I subconsciously suck in the cold air.

"W-wait. Are you talking to me?" I stuttered.

"Who else?" He replied.

"Wait, Alexander, are you kidding?" The blue head youth asked slowly approaching them.

"No." He replied in a firm tone. He was serious.

Aether was speechless. Matter of fact, everyone was speechless.

They stared at each other. Neither of them blink. Both were trying to read each other's expression.

Alexander face was serious. Not an once of regret was on it. He was sure what he think was true.

Aether. The supposed 'abandoned one.' The only one in school who couldn't use magic. The one who couldn't fight. The bully target for everyone. He was sure that there was something that this person is hiding. And he wanted to know what it was.

Bruce what ever his name was. The leader of the group that bullied Aether. He isn't an easy opponent. He might be in class 2-4 but his strength isn't any less than student from class 2-1. If it weren't for his failing academic scores. He could definitely be in class 2-1. Yet Aether. Someone who couldn't fight, actually dodged his attack twice without him even knowing. It's true that Bruce guard's was down but still, his attack is very fast and someone who doesn't have good experience wouldn't be able to dodge it as clean as him. It was extremely hard to notice the fact that he dodged since he 'fell' down right after acting like he was hurt. But he could tell.

Aether was faking it.

His eyes were extremely cold at that moment. Like someone who was experienced with killing...

These thought were running through his mind as Arther trying to figure what He was thinking.

Aether couldn't tell what Alexander was thinking. I mean, I'm an 'abandoned one'!!!

"...are you serious?" I asked him after I've calmed down.

This is actually a good opportunity. I might be able to get so recognition after this event. With the help of the prince, he might be able to have a strong backing and and strong allies too. I won't have to deals with those kids. And last but not least... I can fight!!!! Haha!!

But I shouldn't let my guard down. I still don't know what his intentions are and I don't know if he would betray me later on but I should still take this opportunity and use it well! Genius!!

"Yes." He replied. His face serious.

He's being serious—.
"Okay!" I replied happily. Yay, some hope to survive!!! If I build up a good relationship with him, he might not try to kill me, and maybe, they heroine won't hate me either.

"Hey hey, what about me?" Kyle asked. He pointed at himself acting pitiful like a lost boy. That's cute—.

After transferring her, my sexuality is really shaking huh. There are so many hot dudes, I might actually turn gay—.

"What?" The prince asked. Then, I realized that I was subconsciously staring at him.

"N-nothing. Just wondering why you choose me..." I said trying to make up a random excuse. My eyes darting everywhere. Like a hamster getting caught staring at food—.

Alexander seem to have noticed that I was lying but didn't pry more.

"What do you think this competition is about?" He suddenly ask. As Kyle was about to answer him, Alexander cut in and look at me.

Huh? He wanted me to answer? I look confused but still answer him.

"The all year competition. A competition where sophomores and seniors will partner with each other in a group of four to participate in a survival game. Two seniors and two sophomores each group. Normally, the stronger class worth be paired with the weaker class to be fair as no group will be too OP. This competition happens every years and all students must participate. The freshman are to participate too but they will be playing different games than us. This competition is very important to us because this is our chance to get recognized and change our futures. This competition is very popular. It is as popular as the UA festival! Ah—." I suddenly stopped.

Crap I got too excited. I subconsciously look at their face to see their expression. Kyle look at me with interest and Alexander made a sound of acknowledgment to show that what I said was true.

"Wow. How knowledgeable. Your description is so much better than the teacher. But what's a UA festival?" Kyle ask with interest. His face showed a bright smile. Alexander also turned around to look at me to see what it means.

"A-Ah...it's um... a festival in a book I read... yeah..." I muttered. I totally forgot that MHA doesn't exist here. Ahhh how sad. I won't be able to see the last episode!!!

"Hmmm~ is that so..." Kyle replied. He doesn't seem to believe me. Alexander just made an sound of acknowledgment.

"So?" Alexander turn to Kyle.

"I approve." Kyle replied.

I knew it, they were testing me. Thank god I read the forum for the festival at he beginning of the game. It wasn't important, but since it was the beginning of the game, I actually took my time and read through the long description. Thank god it came in handy.
