Is that really all of it? I mean, it's just a question. Anyone could have answered it.

"I refuse!!" An aggressive voice interrupted his thoughts. Ah, here it comes.

All eyes were on student B. No, Bruce.

"I'm sorry your highness for speaking rudely to you but I feel like this is very unfair for you. I mean, he is 'an abandoned one'! He cannot fight nor can he use elements. Even if he has the brain if he can't even kill an ant, can he even think straight in battle?" Bruce practically screams so everyone can hear him.

Everyone was watching with interest.

"..." the prince was quite. He then turn around and look at Aether. I look at Alexander. Our eyes met and his eyes slightly relaxed.

Alexander then turn around and said in a very firm tone. "Yes, he can."

My eyes widened. Bruce was making a very ugly expression.

"What makes you say that? That trash can't do anything. Not only can't he use elements, but he also can't fight either. He was abandoned by god! A disgrace—!"

"Shut it." I cut him in. All eyes were on me. I broke the chilly air with a bright smile. The sweetest and brightest smile I've ever made ever since I transferred here. But the smile never reaches my eyes.

"What did you say—!" I cut him in again.

"How bout this. If I can beat you in a fistfight, you have to shut up, and never appear in front of me again." I proposed.

Bruce finally smiled. But it was a mocking one.

"Hah! A disgrace like you who can't use elements and can't fight like you actually wanted to fight with me? Hilarious!!" Bruce snorted back.

"Does that means you're scared?"
I made an innocent expression making it look like I was just asking a harmless question. This made Bruce furious.

"You—!" This time, it wasn't me who cut him in, but Alexander.

"Stop." He said, then look back at me. I was about to open my mouth to reassure him I stop after what he said.

"Get ready first."

"......"

Kyle stared at us, his eyes sparkling like he just found something interesting. I didn't say anything and just did as he said.

It's been quite some time since I fight. This should be a good warm-up?

"Fire element" Alexander suddenly said. Indicating Bruce's element.

"Thank you," I replied.

Then I walk over and grab a short dagger. Flipping it around and observe it a bit to get the feel of it.

"I'll beat the living daylight out of you," Bruce said. I turn around and stared at him. My eyes sparkling.

Everyone spread out forming a circle for us to deal with our business.

We were about 10ft away, I can tell, he didn't take me seriously.

"Heh. Since your a trash, I won't use my element to fight you. You should be grateful!" He sneers.

"I'm glad," I replied. Hehe. I'll beat you up so hard, your mom won't be able to recognize you!

Bruce ran at me. His sword slashed down fiercely. I lightly dodge to the right and kick his foot making him lose his balance and fall down. I quickly turn around, immobilized his hands, kick his sword away, and pointed the dagger at his neck.

He looks down on me too much. He put too much gravity on the sword trying to making it look powerful and fast. But that let his lower gravity reduce and with a light tap, you could tip over.

Even with a light tap, a giant bolder could fall with the slight disturbance of gravity.

"Checkmate," I said.

The air was tranquil and only breathing could be heard. Kyle was the first to break the silence.

"Haha! He won!" Kyle shouted.

I stood up, bow, and walk over to my two teammates. That was when I suddenly felt the hot air behind me. I turn back at the speed of light and threw my dagger at the same time the fire almost hit me. Alexander pulled me back and Kyle shot a water attack at the now in pain Bruce.

The dagger has pierced his hand and he was crying in pain. His eye filled with hatred as he glared at Aether.

"I'll kill you!" He said and ran at me. Suddenly, ice shot from the ground and froze Bruce's feet immobilizing him.

The teacher finally arrived and bring Bruce away.

"Uohhhhhh!!!!" One of the students screams.

"Wow! As expected of the crown prince!!!" Another boy joined.

"But what the heck did Aether do? It was so fast, I couldn't see it!!" A girl said to the girl next to her.

"I know right?! I didn't know he can fight!!!" She replied.

Then another boy cut in. "That could barely be cal fighting. He cheated I bet."

"True! But that was super cool!" The girl replied.

Haha. Reminds me of the old days when I get to flex to my juniors in the military—.

"Are you ok?" Alexander asked. Then I realized, I was still in his arm!!! Minor gay panic—.

"I-I'm fine." I lightly push him and escape his embrace. My face flushed red. Being a virgin for 40+ is troublesome you know—.

"......" Kyle who saw the entire thing.

"So now what? We need one more person." Kyle interrupted them.

"Who do you want?" Alexander asked me.

"H-huh? I choose?" I asked in surprise. Kyle was also a surprise.

Are you in a good mood or something—?

"Um... well I don't know... I don't really have any recommendation..." I muttered. I mean... I don't have any friends...

"How about I choose?" Kyle asked. Alexander looks reluctant but he let him. Not long after, he brought a boy who I didn't know existed to the group.

The boy has curly brown hair, brown eyes, puppy eyes, and freckles. He looks like a soft puppy...

"H-hello... my name is Tom Hillson... nice to meet you." The boy timidly introduce.

hmm... Sounds familiar...

I closed my eyes trying to figure who this person was but it was all in vain. Nope, not even a single clue who he is.

"It is very nice meeting you. My name is Aether. I hope we can get along." I smile at him.

I actually hope that we can get along since after all, if i have to run away from the capture targets later on, i actually want to have at least a friend to keep me company.
