Arc 1 [1.11]

"What is the meaning of this?" I asked again. Still holding the knife on Tom's neck. But even when he's taken hostage. Tom seem extremely calm for his situation.

Does he think I'm a joke?

I pushed the knife in a little closer to his neck. Seeming to really consider about cutting him up.

Noticing I was serious about hurting Tom if I don't get an explanation, Kyle quickly wipe his smile away. His eyes narrowed.

"Calm down~ we just wanted to see how strong you are. Aren't we supposed to have a spar to measure each other's strength and weaknesses?" Kyle explain raising his arm in the sky indicating that he has no intention to hurt me.

I turned to Alexander. We both made eye contact and started a staring contest. Our eyes clashes and both of our eye narrowed.

Even though Alexander didn't say anything. It's obvious that there would be no way they would act without telling the prince about such a plan. They would know better to try to kill someone the prince just protected the other day. That would be giving th prince no face. Even if Kyle is Alexander's best friend. There is a limit on anything.

Still staring. My eyes darken as I still demand an explanation from Alexander himself.

Kyle was speechless. The amount of people who could stand Alexander pressure when he glare at you like that can be count on one hand. But Aether here on the other hand. Not only threaten Alexander, he's glaring at him and they're both having a staring contest!! He's not scared at all!! And the fight. From the look of it, Aether seem like an expert at utilizing his surroundings and his weapon. Using the weapon as to mislead Tom to take his guard down, and use the dirt to take away the enemy's sense. Using his last move, like a snake, he slither his way around and using all his limbs, immobilizing the enemy from moving in any direction.

Looking at how he quickly thought of such plan when he's being watch by the prince and him, and just got sneaked attack by his teammate. Though he seem shaken up at the beginning, he soon collected his emotions and held no hesitation to throw his knife at Tom.

Looking down at the knife, it was a kitchen knife. No wonder. He was wondering how Aether have a weapon when he didn't grab one from the weapon stand. It seem like he always have it on him. Does that mean, he get sneak attacks often? He reacted extremely quick for a normal person. As if its one of his condition reflex.

His face scrunch. How often must this happen for him to react so quickly? According to the research he did on Aether. He should help no ability to fight. He doesn't even come out of his room!!

Is this why Alexander wanted to test him out? But when did he started to change?

"Are you gonna tell me or not!!" Aether yelled. His cheeks puff out, his eyes narrowed, bitting his lips in frustration. His arm pulled Tom closer to him and his leg hugged Tom's waist and arm. He held Tom like a koala. His messy hair cling onto his face, sweats slipping down his cheeks. His cheeks flushed from excessive exercises. He looked like an angry kitten that got his milk taken away!! But even after fighting back. He couldn't get his milk back so he's holding onto his pillow in grievance!!

The scene was extremely enticing. It makes you want to to make him cry even more! Messing him up as he beg for mercy, his misty eyes stares back at you as he let out wonderful sounds. Clinging on to you so he won't fall as you continue your- ok that it.

Looking at the scene. Kyle look back at Alexander. His eyes wide open as if he's asking him if this is the reason you ask to research about Aether.

Alexander face was dark. His eyes held no light as he look at Aether dangerously.

"Don't even make that face again." Alexander suddenly spoke. Breaking the silence. Then, he reached out to Aether, unleashing his electro magic. He stunned Aether making him drop the knife.

Stunned from the sudden development, Aether fell backwards, unable to move from getting his nerve electrocuted. Reaching his hand out, Alexander pulled Aether away from Tom. He then pulled Aether away as they walk back to the instructor. Leaving Kyle and Tom confused from the sudden developments.

Watching them walking away. Aether was being held by Alexander because he couldn't move. Punching his hand on Alexander arm softly as if he didn't want help. While Alexander just ignored him and continue on the journey.

Kyle suddenly laugh. His eyes held a hint of amusement as he stared at the duo with interest. While Tom who just got up from the ground. Extremely confuse by all their reactions. Because he was held hostage from behind, he didn't saw the image that Aether was projecting from his angry pouting. All he knew what that Aether was serious about trying to hurt him if he couldn't get an explanation and that the two was clashing at each using their eyes.

Wanting to ask but seeing that Kyle had no intention to explain. Tom gave up and followed the two back to the instructor. Kyle followed.

Seeing the prince holding 'an abandoned one' in his arm while the latter playfully hitting the prince at the arm as they both made their way over. The instructors was speechless. Many students also turn their head to see the drama. Looking at the scene, Bruce felt his last string rip. At first, he thought that Aether was lucky in the last fight. Hopping that during today's spar, Aether will be put in his place. To know better than to stand up to the superior. But now look at the scene in front of him. He felt like he would kill Aether at any moment.

Clenching his fist, he broke the wooden sword in his hand and left the yard.
