Cross huddled under the blankets, Killer rubbing his back as another explosion went off.
Nightmare told them to wait it out, after all, it was New Years. At least after Horror finishes setting off the fireworks they get to eat the roast Killer made.
As another explosion went off, the door slammed open and in strutted in Nightmare, who was immediately slapped by Killer, who pointed at the cowering Cross.
Before Night could apologise for slamming the door, a particularly large explosion went off that shook the room. If you were looking, it spelt 'Happy New Years!' in purple, blue and black lettering.
It was very pretty, but the trio weren't paying attention to it, and were paying attention to Cross, who yelped at the sudden loud explosion.
Nightmare sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in exasperation, but he still sat by Cross and tried to sooth him.
They had to wait for Horror to stop with the fireworks before they could all calm down.
Horror was also gonna get a bit more than a slap on the wrist for triggering Cross's Ligyrophobia.

I figured, if Cross is afraid of cows because of how loud they are, why not associate it with ligyrophobia?
