Spencer's POV:

"I'm not weak. I'm not weak. I'm not weak." I muttered in my sleep

"I don't give a damn whether you're weak or strong. Yell all you want, boy. Ain't no one gonna hear you where you are." Then he starts shouting

Your POV:

You and Hotch were going over the files again and again while Derek and the detective were going through Tobias's stuff.

"There's something weird going on here." Derek says as he approaches the table, flipping through a journal

"You think?" The detective asks

"No, seriously. Check this out. This journal is filled with religious ramblings. He notated hour by hour. 'November 15th, 3:17– If he offer a sacrifice of peace offering unto the lord, ye shall offer it at your own will.' And it goes on and on. 5:04, 7:41, 10:22, 1:42. But then it goes blank for days." Derek explains

"Maybe he got sick of writing." The detective says

"I think I got it." Hotch interrupts

"What is it?" Gideon asks

"Journal entry— 'December 6th. Father sick. Wants me to put him down. I say Thou shalt not kill. He says, Honor thy father. Must pray for guidance.'"

"So he kills his father as an act of mercy?" You asked

"This is two months ago. Tobias Hankle's father had been dead for four months already." Hotch says

"Wait, y/n, get up," Derek says to you and you obeyed, confused

"Look at the floor." He says as he pulls your chair back

"These scuff marks are fresh." Gideon says

"I mean, it's like two people were moving the chairs constantly, trying to fight for control." Derek explains

"So?" The detective asks

"The journal matches Charles Hankle's handwriting. But it was written after he died. Upstairs, Tobias' bedroom— it's got junk piled from floor to ceiling, but the other bedroom could pass a military inspection." Derek holds up the journal

"So, are you telling me one of Tobias' personalities was his father?" The detective asks

"Well.. Tobias was raised with a strict religious code— black and white, right and wrong." Gideon explains

"So, when his father asked Tobias to kill him, something had to give.." You continued

"And his brain couldn't handle the moral contradiction so it spilt into two personalities in order to keep his father alive." Hotch explains

"So.. Who is Raphael?" The detective was still taking everything in

"My guess— he's a mediator between the two. Angels have no human emotions. Live or die, they don't care, as long as it's God's will." Gideon says
