"Alright, do you remember the plan?" Hotch asks you as you strapped into your vest
"Yes. Keep him distracted long enough for SWAT to come in as backup. I will be wearing a hidden mic and ear piece so you can keep in contact with me and you know what's going on at all times. I have the vest hidden under my shirt incase things go south. I also have my ankle holster hidden away where he won't see it. I'm also in charge of orders and I make the arrest." You answered, explaining the plan as you threw your shirt back on
"Good. Do not do anything that will make him suspect that you have backup here and what you have hidden. You know how dangerous he is." Hotch says
"I know. I've dealt with him since high school." You replied
He nods and walks away as someone walks up to you to get you set up with the mic and ear piece. Spencer also walks up to you, already in his FBI vest, and gives you a worried look.
"Spencer, I'm going to be fine. Do you remember our conversation from earlier?" You asked
"I do." He answers
"I made a promise and I don't intend on breaking it." You spoke softly to him and he nods
"I know. I just have a feeling things won't go well." He whispers
"It will. It's a simple conversation and once he's distracted, we'll make the arrest. It's that simple and we don't have to worry about Lily's life being on the line anymore or even any other families. He'll be in prison." You stated
He nods and and just watched as the person puts on your mic. You put on the earpiece yourself because you already knew how those worked. Once they finished with you, Spencer walks with you off the trailer to meet up with the team.
"You ready?" Derek asks
"I guess so." You sighed
"We'll be here in the trailer until we can go in the building. You should come up with a code word incase things go south." Hotch explains
"Uh.." You trailed off to think about it but you were too stressed to think about the simplest thing, "You know what, if you can hear a change in my voice or something that's unusual coming from me, thats when you come in. I can't really think right now." You replied
"That can be a job for Reid since he knows Y/n the best." Gideon states and you all looked at him like he was crazy
"Well, it does make sense. They're pretty close so he would immediately know when her behavior change. But shouldn't we all do it since we're all pretty close?" Emily asks
"No. You'll stay with the SWAT team. Reid will stay back with JJ and I while everyone else is paired up with two to four SWAT agents, waiting on y/n's order." Gideon explains
