You woke up the next morning and looked over to see Spencer wasn't there. You got up and walked out, seeing his bag was still there so he didn't leave. But he also never came upstairs because his pjs were still in the same place from yesterday morning. You walked downstairs and into the kitchen seeing Spencer was passed out at the table which was covered in crime scene photos and papers.
"Good morning, sweetie. How did you sleep?" Your grandma walks into the kitchen
"Fine. Has he been here all night?" You asked her
"Yes. He wanted to get started on the case after he put you to bed. I joined him for a bit and I think we got somewhere. But then I went to bed, telling him to do the same thing because this case file wasn't going anywhere. But I never heard him come up the stairs. When I came down this morning, he was passed out." She answers, grabbing herself another cup of coffee
"Thanks Grandma. Uh, we might be out all day at the precinct. We may not be back until pretty late so you don't have to wait up for us." You said to her and she nods, patting you on the shoulder and leaving the kitchen
You walked up to Spencer and softly rubbed his back to see if he would wake up
"Spence? It's time to wake up." You spoke softly
He groaned in his sleep and he started to wake up a bit. He opens his eyes and saw you, raising his head and rubbing his face.
"Did I fall asleep?" He asks you
"Yeah, you did. You could've stayed upstairs when you knew you were tired." You said to him
"I know.. I wanted to get started on this case." He apologizes
"It's all right. What do you have so far?" You asked, sitting down next to him
"Uh, a lot. Did you know your grandma could be a profiler?" He asks you
"Really?" You laughed
"Yes, really. She's actually pretty good at this type of thing." He answers
"I will have to relay the message then. She actually used to be a lawyer before she retired. So she knows what this type of life is like. She actually didn't want me to be in the FBI but she saw it was my dream to join so she finally gave in." You tell him
"And if she didn't give in, you would have never met me." He replies
"That is very true, Dr. Reid. But there could still be a small chance that I could've met you. I would love to talk about us, but I want to know what you found out." You said and he nodded
"I think he's killing parents because of his own problems with his parents. Most likely abuse because you can see that he only kills the parents but not their children. What's also interesting is that all of the family has two daughters and one son which possibly means he's a brother to two other sisters. One younger and one a middle child like your family and all of the other ones. So he's most likely the older brother. Now the thing is, he's taking the sons from the family but he never took Henry." He explains
