"Hotch? What are you doing here?" You asked as you walked out and shut the door behind you
"There's a case here that relates to your parents. I could've called but we were already on the jet so we turned it around and flew here immediately." Hotch explains
"What do you mean? The killer has resurfaced?" You asked nervously
"It's him, y/n." He answers, handing you a file
You took it and read the file. You saw the victims that looked just like your parents and it turns out the parents had three kids. The same ages from when your parents were killed.
"Oh my god." You muttered out and your hand slowly went up to your mouth as you kept reading the files, seeing everything was very similar to your parents case
"This is exactly like your parents' case, which means he probably is going to-"
"Come after my family again.. He's not finished with us. I know. He sends me letters every 2 months and I have to follow every order, otherwise.." You trailed off, finally telling the secret
"He goes after you and your family." He finishes for you
"Yeah.. I never told anyone about the letters besides my brother. He threatened to take my little sister, Hotch. I couldn't tell anyone else." You spoke softly, voice breaking as you teared up
"I know. We're going to get him, y/n. We'll make sure your family is safe again." He assures
"Please let me in on the case. I remember every detail about my parents case and I know him. I know what he's like." You pleaded
"I normally wouldn't do this but since you know the unsub, I'll let you in. Now, I tried calling Reid on the way here but he's not answering. I'm not sure if he's busy with his mom or-"
"Actually.. He's inside." You said, telling the truth
"What?" He was stunned when he heard that Spencer was actually here with you
"When you told him about my family emergency, he flew here instead of going to Vegas like he said he was. But then he saw that I lied about the emergency because I only came home to see my family. And there was another reason why I came here but that's something I'd like to keep private, if you don't mind. So he just decided to stay with me and meet my family." You explained
"Y/n, are you two..?"
"No!" You hastily answered which earned you a weird look from Hotch, you cleared your throat and politely answered, "I mean.. No. We aren't. Like I said back in Georgia, we're just really close friends. We aren't letting out feelings affect anything between the two of us."
