(Larrence)
Looking around for a while, I saw the Alpha looking around frantically. Just then, the pain hit me back like my insides were going to explode, my exposed flesh felt like ice had numbed it, but yet, very painful. I let out a scream, letting all the pain go, collapsing on the floor. Connie tried to soothe my by stroking my hair with his wing, but I didn't feel it.
The Alpha turned to me, running in my direction with a face of horror. He called out to someone who was out of my line of view, my eyes stung with pain. My body couldn't take all this pain at once, and all of my body shut down, letting me fall onto a the ground before the Alpha could reach me.
The last thing I saw was Alpha Black holding me and a look of guilt settling in his eyes. He probably felt like it was his fault that this has happened.
My eyes closed, leaving everything behind.
(Alpha Black) {[Ooh...]}
There weren't many rogues to deal with, until I felt a lot of power rolling off of some of the rogues. It was far, now that I think of it, it was all coming from where Rain had run off to. I hope she doesn't get killed, that would only trouble me in explaining to her family.
Most of the rogues had been captured, but the others got killed for their lack of cooperation.
The crunch of leaves pulled me out of my thought and I got into a fighting position, ready to shift, but instead, the most battered up Rain came groggly walking up yo me. Peices of her skin and flesh had been ripped, scratched and bitten off by rogues.
How can she even stand and walk?! My wolf was beyond surprised. She looked like she walked right out of a horror film.
Her single blue eye looked at me. Why does she wear an eyepatch anyways? The eye seemed to stare at my soul before widening with a single gasp.
What happened?! I rushed up to her but she screamed, the loud pitch sounded like the call of a bird... weird. She fell on her knees and clapsed her hands over her ears.
The small black bird seemed worried and stroked her hair with its wing in a caring and calming way, but Rain didn't seem to feel it, she just... continued to freak out.
Her eyes widened again before she began falling to the ground.
"Get a medic here NOW!" I shouted, holding the small, fragile looking child in my arms. If she dies... No. I can't think like that now, not when I don't know if she will survive yet.
A medic came really quick, carrying her in his arms before rushing inside the pack house. I looked down on to my clothes to see Rain's blood stain them.
"James..." The sound of my Gamma's voice came from ahead of me, and as I looked up, he was there, his wife helping him stand, and his second child in his arms.
"Mack... what happened?" Samuel, my Beta, emerges from the pack house on crutches. He had been injured in the last rogue attack.
"That kid... She saved my life, my family..." Mack sits down on the ground.
"Who?" Samuel stands by us. "One of the pack fighter's kids?"
Mack only shook his head. "She smelled of rain."
"RAIN?!" Samuel and I exclaimed at the same time. There was only one person in this entire world that I know of that smells of rain. The kid that we captured... Rain...
"I don't know anybody with that smell..." Samuel scratched his cheek thoughtfully.
"I do. Remember that kid I caught in the forest, the Omega? She is the only one that smells of rain. She is rain itself. Just a while ago, she came to me, but fainted. She was covered in blood, scratches, bruises, and ..." I couldn't continue. Just thinking about it made me cringe.
