(Larrence/ Rain)

I finished all of the snow globes when Connie darted in from somewhere above the trees.

"Connie? What's wrong?" His heavy breathing caught my attention and I pulled him into my arms.

"Hold... on..." He held up his wing, waiting to catch his breath.

The silence was heavy and he continued to pant, until he finally took one final gulp of air, taking a deep breath and fixing his posture. He sat upright and perched on my shoulder.

"Rogues. Rogues are coming, and Alpha Black is in your room. Any ideas on what to do?" His panic made me freeze. Just a little ways off, I could hear the howls of some rogues. glowing red eyes stared at me as their prey, holding me captive before jumping in the air and shifting. Connie flew above the trees since I had no chance to connect the chain back on.

Several wolves lunged at me, and I tried so air magic to blow them away. An air gust so strong came from ahead, blowing some of the rogues elsewhere. Of course I was also caught up in it, so I was also being blasted abroad, but I had buried my claws into the ground. Trying to make it less suspicious, I made a puppet out of the ground covered in a rogues scent. The puppet raised its arms like it was making the gust. This method could guarantee that I was just an 'innocent' bystander caught up in this mess.

A howl broke the midnight air like a knife prepared to attack. That howl got closer and closer... wait.... it that? Oh! Zavier! I made the dummy crumble into minute pieces, almost like it was just pieces of dust being held together by some unknown source, waiting to collapse in the fragments that it was in.

The wind dissipated with it, letting some of the rogues to recover. I turned and looked at Zavier, his approaching wolf form sending waves of relief to flood my veins. In my moment, a rogue was given an open chance to attack me. The large jaws of the rogue enclosed around my hind leg, right as Zavier was growling loudly in warning. The gentle pressure appointed to my leg caused the slightest amount of panic to rise to my surface. My ice Phoenix side kicked in and crystallized my body in a thin sheet of dew crystals, tiny fragments that clung onto my fur. The slightest touch of them by the rogues mouth made them multiply quickly at the new object, crystallizing the rogue inside a rigged piece of ice.

People are watching! Hail immediately made me act properly for the situation. I gasped, staring at the block, showing a rogue in mid air, in mid attack. This caused an idea, as I moved to the center of the ring of rogues, careful to not touch anything. Then I shook my fur like I had just been soaked to the bone. The tiny fragments of ice collided with the enemy, creating a seen of the heat of battle.

Speaking of heat...

My fur hummed, the sound of the furious quivering and vibration, the last of the ice falling off, replaced by a warmth that could belong to anyone.

"Rain!" Zavier rushed over to me, and the pain from my broken bones over took me. On impulse, I wrapped myself in my numbing cold, relaxing me. I have to remember not to move much, since my bones are still healing. Zavier trotted over to me and gave me a sniff. "Are you ok? What was that?"

I thought of an answer because I have to be careful. "I don't know..." I look at my hands, poking at the piece of ice that had fallen to the ground. I went over to a chunk of ice freezing a rogue, gliding my hand along it.

"That... that was cool, but the Alpha was worried! What were you doing out there at that time?!" There was a hint of anger and pain dusting his voice.

"I'm sorry. I tend to go outside, especially when I am reminded of the death of a loved one. I just remembered the death of my second family, and the dark, starry night seemed to calm me..." Connie perched on my shoulder, nuzzling my neck.
