____________ part one_
-------- It might get boring near the end of this chapter, sorry. This chapter is a bit longer, so I hope you enjoy some of it.---------
(Larrence)
It has been several hours since I left home and I already knew I had passed at least fourteen pack territories. My wings ached and I had become tired from flying for several hours straight. The ground below me was pure forest, nothing in view served as a good landing spot.
One tree stood above them all, and I recognized it instantly. Sagittarius tree. I once was camping so far out because of a mission, and that tree was converted into a make shift base.
I lowered my self to the small landing area I had created so long ago, putting my things down before landing there myself. I shifted back and as if on cue, my legs gave out. I just lied there, panting heavily. Several minutes passed by and I had finally collected enough energy to sit up.
The area was just like I left it, except for a few minor things, but that could be fixed if needed. I reached out for the messenger bag and read the printed out material. The forest that the official pack was in is called Everlin forest, and the pack is called the Everlin pack. Seems easy to remember. The Alpha is called James Black, son and soon to be Alpha, Pitch Black. Things just get easier to remember!
The Beta, Samuel Brandenburg, son and soon to be Beta, Mintraud Brandenburg. Not so easy to remember. Gamma, Mack Kemppainen... How do you pronounce the last name anyways?! His son and soon to be Gamma, Wayden Kemppainen. Things are going to be slightly difficult.
The stars above me shone just enough light for me to see, but I could not read the files in the dim lighting. I picked up my stuff and dragged my feet to the tree, Sagittarius tree, the archer's tree. It was hollowed out, offering shelter. In the inside, there was a desk, a lamp, and an underground tunnel system that has several rooms.
Everything runs on solar energy, so there was no struggle. I sat on the chair that was slightly cold, exhausted and just plain tired. My eyes fluttered before completely closing.

Something hard began to peck at my cheek. Annoyed, I swatted it away. It then pecked on my chest, but it was dull, and felt odd. The necklace! My eyes fell open with a gasp. I sat up so fast, my back took a sharp pain throughout. I groaned and looked around for whatever was messing around with me.
The first thing I saw was a black cockatoo perched on my lamp.
"Hey... why are you here? Doesn't your kind live in the tropics?"
"Yes, but I had traveled here a few weeks here from the zoo. They treated me badly." A grown mans voice answered back.
All I could do was stare. From the angle I'm looking at, it looked like the bird, the cockatoo had spoken.
"Did you just speak?" I continued to stare. I felt like a lunatic, talking to an animal and expecting an answer.
"Why yes, yes I am."
"Um.... are you, a shifter?" Did I just say that?
"I guess you could say I am, but my bird size is normal, if that is what you are asking." I blinked a few times. "Oh! Where are my manners. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Connie. It is not a girls name." The bird, excuse me, Connie fluffed up trying to look intimidating, but he was just a harmless majestic looking creature from my angle.
"Larrence." I had no other choice but to introduce myself and accept him.
"Pardon?" He looked so confused.
