"WHAT DO YOU mean, Hope's missing?" Cullen questions, eyes wide as she runs her hand through her hair.
"A few hours ago, she took off with a boy from school." Caroline Salvatore, the Headmistress of Hope's school explains through the phone.
"What?" Klaus mumbles.
"We're looking for them. In fact, our entire Honors Tracking class is on it." Caroline continues, but that does nothing to calm Klaus and Cullen's worry.
"Who's this boy?" Klaus snaps. "I'm gonna kill him."
"We can't pinpoint their location yet, but they seem to be heading somewhere just outside of New Orleans." Caroline tells them.
"So she's coming home." Cullen voices her thoughts, glancing towards Klaus before shaking her head. "Thank you, Caroline. Let us know if you find anything."
"I will." Caroline responds. "Good luck."
"C'mon." Cullen mutters, pocketing her phone. "Let's go. We are going to find our daughter and when we do I am going to ground her for life."
-
It didn't take long for the two of them to locate Hope, what with Caroline's kids and Cullen's own magic. "What is this place?" Cullen questions as they hurry out of the car, making their way towards the run down house.
Before Klaus can respond the already loud whispers grow even louder causing both Cullen and Klaus to turn around. They both stop in shock when they see Elijah standing behind them, a broken stake in his hands.
"What are you doing here?" Klaus is the first to speak up, looking at his brother in confusion.
"Protecting my family." Elijah quips before using his super speed to throw the stake towards Klaus. Quickly Cullen raises her hand, using her magic to divert the weapon.
"They're your family?" Klaus snaps, ignoring the fact that his brother just tried to kill him. "Hope is in there!"
Elijah shakes his head. "It's not my problem. The woman I love mother's in there, and you're not going in."
"Well, it shows how little you actually remember your old life, because if you did, you'd know there's no way you can stop us." Klaus states, flashing his fangs. "Cullen get in there, I'll hand him."
Cullen nods, glaring at Elijah before speeding into the house, freezing when she see's an unconscious Hope and a tied up Rebekah. "Rebekah." Cullen breathes, running over to the woman only to be stopped by Greta. "You let my family go right now or I will skin you alive."
"I don't think so." Greta shakes her head, pulling out a white oak stake.
"Where did you get that?" Cullen questions, eyes wide. She believed that all the white oak had been destroyed with The Strix.
"My cause is big." Greta smirks. "We have our ways. Which one should we say goodbye to first? Your daughter? Or your friend, or should I say sister?"
Lunging forward Cullen attacks Greta, the women wrestling for the upper hand. Cullen's able to get it when she uses her magic to bring Greta to her knees, but her focus is deterred when Elijah and Klaus burst into the room. With the distraction Greta speeds forward, pinning Cullen to the wall while Elijah stakes Klaus in the back.
With Klaus down and and Greta busy Elijah moves forward, his hand placed out. "Give me the stack. I'll finish Rebekah."
"Elijah." Cullen screams, thrashing against Greta. She's just about to use her magic when Greta shoves her hand into Cullen's chest, gripping her heart.
With her heart constricted it's hard for Cullen to breath, let alone fight, but using the last of her power she swings her head forward, knocking Greta back. With Greta's grip still on her Cullen grabs her hand, breaking off the finger that holds her daylight ring. With that gone Cullen rushes the both of them outside, Greta screaming in pain as the sunlight hits her. Cullen doesn't stay around to watch as Greta goes up in flames, instead she speeds back into the house, freezing when she sees Elijah standing in front of Rebekah, stake in hand. "Elijah, don't!" But it's not enough. Elijah brings his hand down, the white oak stake plunging into Rebekah's heart.
Cullen's eyes widen as both her and Klaus let out yells. Before Cullen can act Elijah speeds away, leaving Cullen and Klaus to watch as Rebekah's body begins to desiccate. "Elijah!" Klaus screams after his brother, but he's already gone.
Snapping out of her daze Cullen speeds forward, ripping the stake from Rebekah's body before she lays the blonde on the ground. "No. No. No." Cullen mutters, shaking her head back and forth. "This can not be happening."
"Cullen." Klaus calls weakly, pulling the stake from his chest. "She's gone."
"No." Cullen continues to shake her head. "No." Hovering her hands over Rebekah's lifeless body Cullen begins to mutter a spell, ignoring Klaus' cries in the background.
"Cullen." Klaus tries again, dropping to his knees next to Hope. "She's dead, you can't bring her back."
"Be quiet." Cullen snaps, going back to her spell. "Phasmatos revenios un Animum. Phasmatos revenios un Animum. Phasmatos revenios un Animum." Cullen can hear the wind picking up outside and she doesn't know if it's because of the magic crackling through the air or the close proximity of the Mikaelson's.Suddenly Rebekah shoots up, a gasp leaving her mouth. "Oh, my god."
"Rebekah." Klaus breathes, tears streaming down his face. Moving forward he collects his sister in a hug, ignoring the loud whispers filling the house.
"Did I die?" Rebekah questions as they pull away. "I mean actually die? White Oak Stake in my heart?"
"Yeah." Cullen nods, falling back on her legs, the spell she had used was strong. It had taken a lot of energy from her.
"Did-did Elijah kill me?" Rebekah mutters, placing a hand on her head. She was a bit confused, having been tortured for the past week.
"Do not mention his name." Klaus growls. "That traitor is the reason you died. Without Cullen you'd be dead, for good."
Cullen shrugs, her face still wet from her tears. "Just defining the the will of nature one spell at a time."
"Is she okay?" Rebekah questions after a moment, looking towards Hope who was still peacefully asleep.
"She should be fine." Klaus nods. "We need to get home as soon as possible. The four of us being in such close quarters is dangerous. Though I'm sure Hope will be thrilled to know her Aunt Rebekah is home safe."
