"KLAUS! KLAUS!" CULLEN yells as she speeds towards the abandoned building behind the Salvatore school. After Hope had destroyed Conner's car she had passed out, the magic she performed being too much for her to handle. "She just collapsed."
"No heartbeat." Klaus mutters, placing his fingers against Hope's pulse. "Please. Please. Hope!"
"Hope, please." Cullen cries, tears streaming down her face. It all happened so fast she barely had any time to process what was truly going on.
"Cullen do something." Klaus snaps, looking towards his wife.
Snapping out of her daze Cullen moves forward, the act reminding her of when she brought back Rebekah. Cullen places her hands above Hope's chest, muttering a spell that would hopefully pull her from wherever she was. When Cullen's magic fails to work Klaus pushes past her, slamming his fist down onto Hope's chest. That's enough to wake the girl up, gasping for air.
As soon as her eyes shoot up both parents are on her, their arms wrapped around her. "Hope." Cullen breathes out, placing a kiss on her daughter's head.
"Mom. Dad." Hope gasps out, tightening her grip on her parents.
"Oh, you're okay." Klaus sighs, tears streaming down his face. "You're okay."
"I don't want to die. " Hope pulls away from them, tears in her eyes. "I don't want to die."
"I know. I know." Klaus holds Hope's head in his hands. "You are not going to die. Sweetheart, you're not going to die. I found a way to save your life. And everything is gonna be better in the morning. I promise you. I promise."

"Look, I know it's not an ideal evening, but the timing is right." Klaus explains as him, Hope, and Cullen walk through the square. "Once you're mid-transformation, the Saltzman girls will be able to siphon the magic out of you."
"Are you sure about this?" Hope questions, glancing towards her father.
"Yeah." Klaus nods. "I'll dispose of the magic later. Tonight... is about you."
A moment of silence passes between the family before Hope looks past her parents. "I'll be right back."
Klaus and Cullen nod, watching their daughter walk over to Lucy. Cullen can't help the smile on her face when they begin dancing. "That girl." Cullen speaks up. "She was nice to Hope earlier. I think they like each other."
"Well the last person Hope liked tried to destroy a fundamental part of her so you'll excuse me if I'm weary." Klaus responds.
"Behave yourself." Cullen tells him quietly, taking ahold of his hand. They watch Hope for a while and it's nice, watching their daughter smile and dance with someone she cares about. For just a moment things feel normal, and then the clock tower strikes.
