Chapter 2

Akaashi's pov

Bokuto-san had mentioned Kuroo-san before. He is enthusiastic like Bokuto-san, especially when drunk. A complete flirt. And seems to be caring and intelligent.

"And I told him no thank you." Kuroo slurred a little. Clearly drunk after a couple drinks.

"That's very funny Kuroo-san." I smiled at his story as we sat on a log in front of the campfire. Others were also drunk, as it was almost midnight and freezing cold.

"Want to go home? You seem pretty cold and tired. Need me to take you home?" He questioned.

"Kuroo-san, as much as I appreciate the concern, and offer, I think you're too drunk." I chuckle quietly.

"I guess you're right. Here." He pulled out his phone and asked for my information.

"Thank you. I think you're right. I'll just ask Teru to let me stay over. It's not like I haven't so I should be fine." He said as I returned his phone with my contact information now.

"Sounds good. I'll see you around Kuroo-san." I told him. I won't deny that he was a smooth talker and totally hot.

"Ok perfect time to go home." Suga came over and grabbed my wrist to go back to his car.

"You aren't drunk right?" I asked suspiciously. Suga said he'd drive me back knowing the others wouldn't be able to.

"I didn't feel like drinking and I'm getting tired and bored." He said.

"Same." I yawn before opening the door and sliding in and buckling up.

"Keiji. I'm home." I looked over to my alarm as I woke up to my mother knocking and entering my room at 10 in the morning.

"Oh uh, good morning." I groaned and sat up as she just smiled and closed the door again.

I checked my phone to see notifications. 15 from Oikawa's Instagram, 2 from Bokuto's, and a text from an unknown number.

Hey Akaashi, it's Kuroo.

Akaashi

Oh, good morning Kuroo-san.

10:11 am

I texted him back before getting up to eat. I changed and left to grab a sandwich or maybe cereal. I ate as I watched some funny animal videos and then finished some homework before getting a notification.

Kuroo-san

So I was thinking last night. You should donate some genes to a science department so they know what an actual angel in a human body looks like so they can make more.

I felt blush creep up to my cheeks as I reread the message a couple more times, making sure I did in fact read it correctly.

Akaashi

Kuroo-san, I believe you're still intoxicated from last night.

11:04 am

Kuroo

I assure you all the alcohol has left my system. You must be a red blood cell because you take the oxygen out of my lungs and bring it right to my heart.

Akaashi

Oh. Thank you. Do you by any chance enjoy science?

I'm basically freaking out. I don't know what to do. Even without being drunk he's flirting like crazy. What am I supposed to say? I've only been hit on once and I wasn't interested so Bokuto-san stepped in. But this guy is totally different and I'd probably date him, and incredibly handsome. Guess this calls for backup.

Akaashi

I'm not going to tell you who, but a guy's flirting over text and like he's hot. What do I do?

Oikawa-san

I'm very proud. Flirt back. If you can't I guess just be straightforward?

Guess Oikawa-san isn't good at this either. I see another text from Kuroo-san and I get even more nervous.

Kuroo-san

And if I do?

I enjoy science as well. What do you plan to do after finishing school?

I guess that's good enough for now. I mean I should totally get to know the guy better before dating so this is good.

Kuroo-san

I think I'll work towards my dream of becoming a Neurologist.

Akaashi

That sounds cool. Any specific reason?

Kuroo-san

Yeah but don't worry about it. But did you know that even without gravity, I'd still fall for you?

I was going to ask why he responded like that but I don't want to push a wrong button plus he said another pick up line.

Akaashi

Kuroo-san, I'll be honest. You're hot.

Oikawa-san said be straightforward right? Is this straightforward enough?

Kuroo-san

Oh. Thank you Akaashi. You're a beautiful specimen yourself.

Akaashi

And I don't know how to receive or flirt back. But we could totally hang out sometime.

Ok Akaashi. What about next Saturday? I can pick you up and we can head out to a cafe, sound nice?

We ended up texting for over an hour before my mother asked me to go to the grocery store for her. We ran out of chips.

Akaashi

Alright I got to go. It was nice talking to you Kuroo-san.

Ok bye, don't forget me.

I found that to be a kind of weird way to say goodbye but I needed to go. She gave me a list for just a couple things. She had chips, ice cream, eggs, and butter on it. Not that much. I won't let her know I was the one who took all the chips yesterday.
