Chapter 16

Akaashi's pov

"Hello." I greeted Suga-san and his mother as I opened the door for them.

"What a lovely house." His mother commented as she greeted back and went to go find my mother.

"So, the new step-brother?" He smiled excitedly before realizing how I tensed and he tilted his head in confusion.

"Oh so you're the guy Daichi is dating. Nice to meet you." Tetsurou stuck his hand out to shake while the other was holding a bowl of grapes.

"Oh, hello." They shook hands before Tetsurou winked leaving me flustered. He left and I grabbed Suga-san's hand and led him to my room.

"Wait. So the guy who you were basically crushing over at one of Terushima's parties is going to become your new step-brother?"

"No." It wasn't completely true... in a way?

"Oh really? Then tell me what this really is." He had a hand on his hip and looked ready to scold me.

"No Suga-san, my kind of secret boyfriend is becoming my new step-brother." He gasped.

"Yeah and our parents are getting married in less than a month." I groaned before flopping onto my bed.

"Have you guys like..."

"Yes. Don't worry, I change my sheets after." I told him as I sat myself up and crossed my legs as I hugged an owl plushie.

"Interesting." I hum in response.

"We went on dates before they confirmed the engagement, we didn't even know it was the other parent, and when we found out I tried to stay away, distance myself. But I just couldn't." I smile thinking about all the good times Tetsurou and I have had together so far.

"Well he clearly makes you happy." Suga-san smiled before sitting next to me.

"Yeah, he does. Not too many people know but I'm not ready to tell my, basically homophobic mom who is going to marry his dad in less than a month you know?" I frown again.

Suga-san gave me a tight hug and patted my head.

"We'll figure it out." He gave me a small smile before my mom called us down.

The table was already made for six, so I sat down next to Tetsurou and Suga-san while our own parents sat across.

Kuroo's pov

Suga seemed nice. He was very respectable and came across as a very good friend of Keiji's.

"Oikawa is coming later right?" I whispered over to Keiji as the moms talked and everyone ate and listened.

"Yeah. We can stay in my room, don't worry." He then drank some of his juice as I leaned into whispering again.

"I'll be there too, that okay gorgeous?" He swallowed and smiled softly. I smiled back before catching my dad staring at us. Keiji didn't notice but I stared back at him until he went back into the conversation with Mei.

It bothers me how he looked at us with a skeptical look. Is he catching on?

"Bye!" I heard Mei close the door behind Suga's mom.

"When should Oiks' get here?" I asked Keiji as we sat down on the couch,

"In the next 10 minutes. I'll go cut some fruit." Keiji stood up.

"I'll come with you." Suga followed him into the kitchen leaving me with the parents.

"Who is Oiks'?" Dad asked.

"Oikawa is a lovely young man who's friends with both boys. He was here on moving day." Mei told him.

"He goes to Keiji's school?" I nod. My dad and Mei talked for a while before I heard the door.

"I'll get it!" I yelled out so the boys in the kitchen could hear.

"Hey Tetsu-chan!" Oikawa beamed as I held the door open for him.

"Nice to see you again." The adults and Oikawa greeted each other before Keiji and Suga came over with bowls of fruit.

"Let's go to my room." Keiji smiled and we all followed.

"Can I have a...?" Keji was blushing a little but I knew at this point what he wanted. I chuckled and nodded before going into my room and going back to his with one of my sweaters.

"Thank you." He told me while slipping it on.

"Aww! So cute!" Oikawa squealed.

"Calm down Oikawa." I huffed but smiled before sitting down on the floor with him.

Throughout the night Suga was mostly quiet but he did state his opinion and spoke a lot more than Keiji for sure.

"I'm going to get more chips and popcorn." I told them as we ran out of snacks in the middle of some rom-com Oikawa brought over.

I kissed Keiji's cheek before standing up.

"I'll help too." Suga stood up and we both left the room.

"So you're the guy from the party." I nodded my head slowly. This guy didn't seem intimidating until now.

"Well it's obvious you both care for each other a lot." I huff in relief and nod again before grabbing some bowls.

"Just a PSA of sorts, don't do anything stupid." He gave me this serious look before smiling again like he didn't just basically threaten me. I gulped and we went back to preparing the snacks once again.
