Kuroo's pov

"Alright, last of the boxes."

"I'm going to go make sure I didn't forget anything. I can't forget anything, that'd be bad, where's my list?" I started to mumble as I walked back into the now almost empty house.

I flipped towards a page in my notebook and double checked each room making sure nothing was left behind.

"Ok done." We got into the moving truck and began our way towards the new house. It's probably going to be awkward having to sneak around and hide our relationship. But I'm willing to do it until he's ready to tell his mom.

"Want to stop somewhere and get donuts for them?" My father questioned.

"Sure." I shrugged.

We parked outside the donut shop and he asked for a dozen.

"I'll pick half you pick half." I just nodded as he proceeded to order 6 donuts.

"Hmm. K-Akaashi's favorite is the strawberry one. I'll take one with sprinkles." My father looked skeptical as I thought aloud and ordered the other donuts.

"Thank you." And we both left to sit back in the car.

"So where did you meet Akaashi-kun?" My dad asked as we pulled out of the parking lot.

"Mutual friends. I said this when you had your big announcement." I rolled my eyes.

"And you guys are and always were just friends?" My breath hitched a little. Is he on to us?

"No. If you haven't heard we're going to be step-brothers soon." I tried hiding the uneasy feeling.

"Ok, be like that." And the rest of the car drive was silent.

----------

"T-Kuroo-san-" Keiji came out to greet us.

"Please, we'll be family soo so first name base for everyone, right Tetsurou?"

"Yeah dad. Sounds great. Come on let's go inside Keiji. Where's your room?" I spoke through gritted teeth. Dude really knows how to get under my skin.

"What's that about?" He whispered to me but his mother came out of the kitchen.

"Hey boys!" She smiled.

"Forget about it." I whispered.

"Hi Mei." I greeted her.

"Your rooms are next to each other. Keiji go ahead and show him to his room." She told him before leaving to say hi to my dad.

"Alright then." He grabbed my hand and dragged me upstairs.

"Here it is. I'm having Oikawa-san come over soon to help, ok?" He kissed my cheek.

"Yeah ok." I squeezed his hand before letting go and entering the blue painted room.

"Doesn't seem too bad. A good size and the color isn't too light." I told him and he smiled.

"Yay I'm glad you like it!" He hugged me before letting go once we heard footsteps.

"Oh don't stop you guys look adorable together!" Oikawa whisper squealed.

"Thank you Oikawa-san. Let's begin." Keiji dragged Oikawa away but not before he let a smirk slip. I shook my head and went down to the car to begin bringing up boxes.

----------

"Aka-chan is taking a nap. How's unpacking going for you?" Oikawa walked into my room and asked.

"Pretty good. How's Keiji's room?"

"Almost done." He smiled and I reciprocated the gesture.

"Any more donuts left, did he eat his strawberry one with sprinkles?" I probed.

"Two left. Both chocolate." I nodded.

"You really care about him don't you." He walked over and patted me softly before waving goodbye and walking out the door.

"Take good care of him. Sure we'll see each other at school but..." Oikawa was hesitant to continue.

"I understand. I will." He smiled and left.

I sighed and headed downstairs to find my dad and Mei talking on the couch.

"2 months exactly now." She smiled.

I honestly don't know what to think of her. She's kind of pushy and homophobic, makes my dad happy, but gave birth to a literal angel.

Opening the box I grabbed a chocolate glazed donut and grabbed a Gatorade before heading back up to my room. The donut was kind of stale as it had been out for a couple hours but I downed it down with the drink.

I had various more boxes to go through and only took my clothes out of their bags to set on my bed.

"Boys! Food will be ready in 10 minutes!" Mei called from downstairs.

I wasn't sure if Keiji was still asleep or not so I decided to go over to his room. I knocked on the door and waited for a response.

"Come in." I open the door and find him at his desk on his computer. He had his glasses on and a book open.

"Can I have one?" I smirked and pointed towards the gum he had sitting on his desk.

"Fine but save it for later. You're lucky it isn't my last one." He took his glasses off and handed me the pack. Surly there were 5 more pieces.

"Too bad, thought we'd have to share again." I feigned a pout and he just chuckled.

"We should head down." He then frowned.

"Hey don't worry about it Angel, ok?" I poked his forehead. He just gave me a small smile before nodding and leading me out of the room to head downstairs.

2 months left.
