In our world, most dhampirs don't know their father, because mostly they are moroi, and moroi men don't like having a family with dhampir women. Well, that was my life too, I didn't know my father until the day my mom came into my hospital room when I just literally survived a strigoi attack, with my father.

"This is Abe Mazur, and he is your father."

"Wait...what?" lissa and I said together.

"Yeah, he is your father Rose." she said like she was trying to assure me.

"And you're telling me now, you know mom I just barely survived a strigoi attack. And I have some serious injuries. I really don't want to die from a heart attack right now." I was actually furious, maybe it was because they disturbed us or this was huge news which I wasn't prepared for.

"Wow, Janine she's exactly as you told me." the new guy said.

"What, arrogant, hothead, and an idiot." That was something my mom would say, I think.

"No, confident, a hothead and just like me, well you got one right." He said with a smile.

"Hey I'm nothing like you, I don't even know who you are. We just have the same eyes and hair."

"Yeah, well that's one of the similarities, we'll get to know each other."

I was never able to raise one eyebrow so I raised both.

"Rose, don't look at him like that." Mom said she was definitely getting annoyed by this.

"Mom what do you expect me to do? Hug him and start calling him daddy."

"I would prefer Baba." The old man said.

"SHUT UP!!" mom and I shouted together at him.

"Ok guys, calm down please." Lissa said, I actually was surprised to see she was still here and how was she not saying anything till now.

"Yes, you should listen to the sweet lady here. Well, you are?" he asked pointing towards lissa.

"I'm Lissa."

"Princess Vasilisa for you." I said in a stern voice.

"It's okay Rose." Lissa said, trying to calm me.

Then we were all looking at each other when someone came running inside our room. It was my Russian god. And he looked worried.

"What's happening here? I heard someone shout." Yeah, he was worried.

Then he looked at everyone else in the room and tried his best to put his guardian mask on.

"Everything's alright, comrade."

"Listen, Rose, I want you to think about it." Mom said and then left with that guy, before leaving she nodded at Dimitri.

"Now what is going on?" Dimitri asked me with a very serious look on his face.

Janine POV

"Listen, Rose, I want you to think about it."

I said and left the room, I had no desire to fight my daughter because of his father.

"Hey, Janine. It's okay, she'll think about it relax." Abe said.

"I cannot relax Abe; you saw how she was behaving there." I had no idea why she overreacted that much.

"Well considering who her parents are, I think that's pretty normal for her." he said with a small laugh.

"Rose, you need to relax." We heard lissa saying that she really cared for her, it was nice seeing someone like her with my daughter.

"I cannot relax Lissa, you saw her, you saw them." Said Rose, she was definitely furious.

"Okay now tell me, what's bothering you the most?" lissa asked him. Concern was very clear in her voice.

"Everything! The way he was holding my mother, no one should be allowed for that, I was literally going to kick his ass but thanks to my condition right now he is alive. And why was he here? She never said anything about him and today she shows up with him and drops a father bomb on me?" she sounded that she was angry yet sad at the same time.

I smiled at that. "Father bomb? She really is our daughter." I said to Abe laughing.

"Yeah, I know. Come on let's go for a walk and let her think." He said smiling.

We both went outside for a walk; we were talking when we met Alberta talking to guardian Alto.

"Hey, Janine."

"Hey."

"So how does it go with Rose, I know I should think positive but it's Rose we're talking about. So, tell me what happened."

"She actually screamed at us." I said with a sad smile.

"Oh, Janine it's okay. I'm sure she'll come around."

"I hope so. Well, why were you talking to stanny boy there." We both laughed at that.

"You know, head guardian duties. Gotta tolerate him."

"Oh, you poor girl." We all again started laughing.
