Piper's POV

Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite, didn't care much about the newbie Tina during her first hours of arrival. She heard from her cabinmates/siblings that she's Hecate's daughter and that's all she ever thought of her, another naïve and lucky demigod who wasn't given the impossible task of stopping the Mother Earth from rising in order to save all mortals, demigods and gods alike.

There are days that she would find herself envying the other kids in Camp Half-blood who get to live a worry-free and safe life inside the magical boundaries. Sometimes, she would even let herself wish that she and Jason were not part of the Prophecy of the Seven so that they could focus on making their relationship stronger.

Even though the world would still end, she at least got to spend the last days of it being happy with the man she loves and not trying to stop the actual Earth that they're standing on from rising. She loathingly glanced on the dirt under her feet as she stood just outside of the dining pavilion.

Why can't you just stay asleep? You've been doing it for thousand of years! What's a couple more decades? she begrudgingly thought, still glaring at the dirt who, thankfully, did not answer back.

According to her friend Leo, Gaea (AKA Mother Earth) has a habit of using the dirt to take form like a deteriorating rotten Play Dough and scare demigods using her words with her eyes still closed.

When she looked up she saw a bright orange blur of a stranger pacing towards the showers and instantly her mood turned more sour. She took that as a sign that Leo's alone now and that he already has something to report back to her so she headed for Bunker 9.

Piper didn't give much of a thought about Tina when she arrived yesterday morning but after what happened during dinner, she felt alarmed. Up till this morning, even as she headed to Bunker 9 to hear what Leo had to say, she still denies that she's acting out of jealousy.

For her, she's simply acting out of curiosity. When she first found out that all the memories she shared with Jason on Wilderness School were all fabricated and that she had actually never met him until that hot day on their field trip to Grand Canyon where he woke up with no memories, she was frightened.

She was afraid she's going to lose him. But then they went on this quest to save the goddess Hera from being captured and she didn't feel estranged by him, in fact he still helped her save her father from the giant Enceladus. He didn't even got mad when she had lied to his face because her father was being held captive by the enemy.

That made her fall in love with him more. And now that they got back from their quest, Piper felt more hopeful that they could still be the lovers from her fabricated memories or even stronger. Even when there were other girls in camp who have developed small crushes on Jason, she never felt threatened--or in her words "curious" by them.

And the reason behind that is Jason never looked at them the way he did to Tina last night.

"Leo!" Piper called out to his friend from the entryway of Bunker 9. When he didn't answer, she called his name louder and this time he heard something hitting metal followed by a shriek of pain from somewhere at the back.

"Geez! Piper, calm down." a boy covered in grease and grime emerged from the back of the massive ship. "You really that excited to see my handsome face?"

"Yeah, right." she said, rolling her eyes at him. "So, what did you find out?"

"Wow, no, how was your head, Leo? Are you okay? Did you have a full stomach with the breakfast I prepared?" he said, trying to imitate her voice by making his more high-pitched which only irritated Piper more.
