15: five minutes

It was three in the morning, I suddenly woke up from my sleeping as my body was starving for food. I haven't eaten since I got discharged from the hospital because I have no appetite after having a deep conversation with Yurim. I thought I wouldn't be starving, but it turned out to be the opposite.

I took off the blanket around my body and sighed heavily when I realized that Jake wasn't with me anymore. I suddenly fell asleep after having a conversation with him earlier. So, I had no idea what happened after that. I thought he would be staying with me tonight, but he was already left and slept in his room.

I remembered that Jake already arranged the stock of foods in the fridge when he came into the room earlier. So, I went to the fridge and looked for cake and soft drinks.

As I was about to take them out, I was surprised when I heard someone talking on the balcony of my room. I thought it was a ghost. So, I decided to ignore them and just went to the bed, but something stopped me when I heard the same voice for the second time.

it was Jake. I knew that it was him. I could recognize his voice immediately. I went towards the balcony to peek at him and hid when I saw him talking to someone on the phone.

I was curious to hear what he was talking about, so I just stayed in the same position until he ended the call.

"I went to the restaurant to look for you, but why aren't you there?"

"I asked the manager and the staff about you, but they have no idea what was happening to you."

"Tell me the truth, Choi Yurim."

"Where have you been and what happened to you?"

"I want to meet you, Choi Yurim."

"Why did you suddenly disappear?"

"Why are you avoiding me?"

"What did I do, Yurim?"

I listened to him carefully and didn't even move from where I was standing even though it hurts me when I found out he was talking to Yurim. Jake sighed heavily and talked on the phone again.

"Yurim."
He paused as tears escaped from his eyes.

"I miss you so much."

"I wish you were in front of me."

"I want to hug you so much."

"I want to spend more time with you, Yurim."

"Can you stop avoiding me?"

"Let's meet and talk to each other."

"Tell me everything that happened to you."

"I would be your listener."

After taking a long shower, I walked out of the bathroom and dressed up casually. I regretted whatever I was doing last night. I shouldn't be eavesdropping on his conversation with Yurim.

Because of that, I felt so empty today. I wanted to do nothing and stayed in the bed again. I wanted to heal myself by trapping myself in the room. I didn't want to stay this way longer. It hurts me harder than I expected.

Jake was no longer in the room. After he has done talking to Yurim on the phone, he went back to his room as if nothing happened and didn't take a glance at me at all. He had no idea that I was there with him on the balcony because he was so busy talking to his lover.
