"Three bottles of soju, please.""Two bowls of rice, please."
"Where are our drinks?"
"Four bowls of black bean noodles, please!"
"Why are you so dumb? We have been waiting for the food for almost 30 minutes."
"Is it too hard to serve the food for us first?"
I parted my lips and lowered my head when the customer keep complaining about the late service. There were a lot of customers these days, and all of them came to the restaurant at the same time which made me so hard to arrange the order one by one.
The restaurant was out of staff, so I was the only one who needed to take a look at the customer. I didn't have any break at all and It was so tiring to do all of them alone. I felt like I was about to knock on the floor.
I was too exhausted. My body got weaker and my head got lighter when I kept forcing myself to finish the work alone. I needed to endure with all of the customers patiently. I needed to listen to their lecture every day and I needed to apologize for the hundredth time.
I bowed respectfully and apologized to the customer before continue serving the order as fast as I could.
I wiped my sweats, tied my apron properly, and immediately stopped on my way when I saw a group of adults come into the restaurant happily.
I fixed my gaze on them for a long time and quickly looked away when they saw me.I knew them well. They were also the ones who put all of the blame on me after Junghwa exposed my secret to Heeseung.
After I have done serving all of the orders, I grabbed the menu list and went towards them while pretending as if we didn't know each other. I stood at their table with a tablet in my hand and waited for them to take their orders.
Junghwa greeted me as he finally noticed me.
"Han Jina."
I smiled at him in response.
"How are you? It's been a long time, right?"
Yongguk added,
"It's been a year since we haven't met. Why did you act as if we don't know each other?"Ahnjoo and Woram exchanged glances with each other and sarcastically giggled. I kept my mouth silent while waiting for them to take their order patiently.
"This is why we shouldn't be full of ourselves, Han Jina."
Yongguk spoke up making me look at him in confusion. Junghwa brushed his hair, and avoided my gaze on him because he understood what Yongguk means with his words. Ahnjoo held her laughter by covering her face with her hair.
"You were so full of yourself when you got married to Jake Shim."
"You were being sensitive to us after we accidentally made a mistake on you."
"Look at where you are right now, Han Jina."
He cackled and held his laughter when Junghwa shook his head and told the guy to shut his mouth from saying something bad about me.
I held my patient, didn't want to pick any fight with them because I knew there was no point turning the problem bigger.
Yongguk cackled,
"Jake Shim left you for the girl he loved. He left you like you were nothing to him. I heard that he was happier with Choi Yurim."
"It must be so embarrassing to live this way, right?"
