A Normal Hero

STARTING LINE

After a troublesome day at the school, I came back to the dormitory and went straight in my room. My shoulders were feeling stiff throughout the whole day that's why I lied down on the bed as soon as I entered the room.

I closed my eyes as I felt the sudden urge to sleep after lying down on the bed. But the instant i closed my eyes, i felt like the ground below me disappeared and i started falling down freely without stopping.

[ CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'VE NOW BECOME A PLAYER.]

Even though i felt like my eyes were still close, i saw this message. I tried opening my eyes but there was only darkness.

"....wait what's happening?". A strange pain travelled from my head to toe and suddenly the scenario in front of me changed into a strange place which look like a hospital.

"Where am I?"

These were the first words released from my mouth. It really is a strange place. Mutated human beings and normal human beings both are present here. Then a nurse came near the patient next to me.

 Apparently she looked normal but in a few seconds a strange light started emitting from her hands. Looks like she's healing him. But what's this place? How come I am here? Are my friends also here? But in next second I noticed something there was kind of a you can say a hologram type of message there which says

[DAILY QUEST: TRAIN TO BECOME A FORMIDABLE COMBATANT.](UNREAD)

Before I can click on the message a nurse came next to me.

"Are you feeling well now?".

"Yes".

"You were found near where the incident took place. You were quite lucky, given the magnitude of the incident you got no critical injuries. You were unconscious for 3 whole days without any critical injuries so we were a little worried. Do you remember anything?"

After watching my dumbfounded expression she asked.

"No. I can't remember anything."

"Do you remember your name?"

"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka"

"Where do you live?"

Well I don't know if the place where I live exist here or not so I will play dumb for now.

"No, I can't remember anything. Where is this place?"

"Is that so? Well you are at Shizuoka prefecture general hospital. Some heroes bring you here along with the other patients." she said.

The people around here looked like japaneese and we talk the same language so i was sure that this is Japan but.... when did all the humans evolved so much? Don't tell me, i waking from my small nap after centuries.

But if it is not true then there is a high possibility that my schoolmates are also here.

After giving me the information about how i got here she asked me some questions which I mostly answered as no. Giving me some medicines she went to the next patient. Before she went to the next patient I asked her whether she could see that holographic message in front of me. Which she answered as no. Looks like she will assume me as a weirdo. Not that I care about it.

Come to think of it, the same type of message appeared before I woke up here. Getting curious I clicked on the message. Then in the next second the context on the screen changed from message to quest info.
