"Am I the only one feeling uncomfortable?"
"You know, Kyungsoo plays this character pretty dang well. I mean, it comes out naturally! It's like he's just portraying his own self!" Minkyong whispered to Dejun.
"Yeah, it suits him..." he said dryly, wincing at the latter who never runs out of comments.
Sometimes, he would ask himself why he took her as his assistant director when she clearly doesn't have some sense of direction with her own life.
He didn't want to intrude but, seeing Minkyong being overly hyped up all the time and blabbering nothings during the set makes him grow more questionable of her state.
"Emotions! Where's the emotion in your eyes?!" The director was soon in a rampage about their current scene.
It was that scene wherein the male protagonist will say his dialogues on the verge of tearing up. However, Kyungsoo must've been in a different mood as he couldn't bring himself to swell his eyes with water.
Because for the whole day, he's been distracted.
Distracted by the assistant director who seemed to have nothing to do and worry about during the set. He had made a lot more NGs than the help Minkyong gave to the production.
"Relax, sir. Relax." Minkyong tells their director, motioning him to follow her breathing techniques. "Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale."
"How can I relax, huh?! This is due next week, and you want me to relax? Why don't you just find something to help? Maybe that would make me relax!"
"Yes, sir. Yes, sir." She bobs her head a thousand times in oblige and ran to where the actors were standing, frustrated just as their director.
"Have you practiced this scene?" Minkyong looks over Kyungsoo who was staring back at her with his usual serious expression.
"We tried." Jihyun, the female lead, replied.
"Okay, so here's what you're gonna do..." she flips the script to the page where they left off and discussed everything in less than three minutes.
Before they know it, they're already shooting the next scene with ease all with the help of Minkyong.
"You did very well today. I hope you continue working hard." Denjun pats her back with an approving smile that Minkyong thanked in return.
This was one of the rare moments their director would compliment her. It has been an honor to serve, Minkyong thought. It's not like she's contributed a lot either.
"Great job, guys!" The assistant director threw a thumbs up to the actors and went on her way to the tent where the other staff were having a break.
