The scent of freshly baked cookies and barbecue seeped through Minkyong's nose the moment she entered the place Baekhyun texted her. Jolly Christmas songs and people in the color of green and red filled the place with light-hearted smiles on their faces.

It was something that only Christmas can bring from the people. Gifts and special, unaccounted favors - they make of the Christmas spirit that can be seen from all around the world. With a warm heart, Minkyong roamed around the place, being offered with cookies or drinks as she went on a journey to find anyone she knew.

She found herself standing by the chocolate fountain and it would be an understatement that she dipped only a few of the pastries next to it. Wandering her eyes around, finally, she saw Baekhyun's figure being partly blocked from her view. She tipped her toes to see him, only to be greeted by another man's figure next to him which she did not expect to encounter.

Heart palpitating, she diverted her gaze when their eyes met, stuffing the cookie from her right hand before quickly pivoting herself towards the kitchen to get a drink, wishing it would somehow calm her erratic heart.

"Why didn't he tell me he's here too?" she mumbled to herself with gritted teeth.

Why her stomach's turning — that she can't straightly answer. Why she's avoiding that man? That she can. She feels awkward, especially because of what happened to them last.

She ducked her head down, having wary orbs go from left to right.

Maybe if I close my eyes, he won't see me.

"Minkyong!"

In shock, she turned around instinctively, making the water inside her cup almost spill had she not found her balance. She came face to face with Baekhyun who held out his hand to support her in concern.

"You good? You seem thrilled to see me, relax." He placed his hand on her shoulder in a kidding manner to which the assistant director replied with a scoff, brushing his hand off her.

"I'm actually rather spooked to see you. Again."

"Halloween's over, gamdognim. It's Christmas. Time to be nice." He kid, patting her shoulder twice with a titter.

"I am nice!" She debated.

"Yeah sure." He waved his hand off in a dismissing manner. "You know what would be nicer though?" He leaned towards her, narrowing his eyes at her, causing the lass to knit her brows in curiosity.

"What?"

"It would be nicer if you and Kyungsoo talk once and for all—Kyungsoo!"
