⤖ chapter three

       "And cut!"

Through the held megaphone, the director announced the end of the scene. Everyone dispersed from their current positions. The actors moved to monitor the just finished product through the screen where Dejun and Minkyong were sitting on a portable chair.

Kyungsoo and Ji Hyun keenly watched their movements and expressions that they portrayed on screen. Coming to observe the great job Kyungsoo did in expressing his perplexed nonchalant expression, Minkyong looked behind and complimented the actor.

Merely nodding at her words, the idol still couldn't hide the red stain on his cheeks that wrapped until his ears. Good thing, Minkyong was already face forward and was too consumed in watching when a reminder dinged in her head.

The costumes...

"Gamdognim, what about the costumes for the additional villagers?" she faced her superior who furrowed his brows at her.

"It's already settled. I think Soojin will pick them up later,"

"Maybe I should help them—"

"You're staying here, Minkyong. We still have work to do."

The two actors behind them, slightly leaning on the chair their sitting at, exchanged glances with the pair. The assistant director was only concerned that the staff might need more people in getting the stuff done for currently, they had limited crew around. But she supposed Dejun was correct about her staying. She's the assistant director after all.

"Okay, for the next scene..."

And so, the explanation for the following scene began. Which is a bit different from the previous episodes. A kissing scene.

For someone who had worked on dramas and movies, Minkyong was still so tirelessly enthusiastic about this particular scene that Dejun could not help but shoot a blank stare at his assistant director who was smiling the entire time since he started talking about the sequence and how it should look on camera.

Minkyong giddily nudged Mijoo who had her arms crossed beside her. "That's your real-life romance right there,"

The latter gave her an 'are-you-serious' kind of look. "You know, for someone who should be professional about these kinds of scenes, you're quite..."

Ignoring her crewmate's remark, Minkyong watched the couple share their interactions with each other on camera. Their bond complemented the other, thus, it looked more intimate on screen because of their chemistry.

The male lead's eyes darted to the assistant director who seemed to be loving every moment of the behind-the-scenes. There she goes again. Kyungsoo couldn't make out if he was being annoyed or that he could not just focus entirely on work when there's a young woman who stood out a lot as the lead actress of the drama itself.
