Minkyong did not let another second to pass and went to where the actors were standing by, surrounded by the rolling cameras. The director had observed her to be having a good mood to go about the area and accomplish the tasks that she's really supposed to do as the assistant director.
Having seen the assistant director approaching their way, Kyungsoo cleared his throat as he forces a smile to his co-actor. Here comes the distraction...
Bowing, Minkyong beamed at Ji Hyun and Kyungsoo, jumping to discussing their next scene. She would crack jokes here and there to lighten up the mood but only Ji Hyun would laugh at her puns, leaving Kyungsoo awkwardly merely existing beside them.
Minkyong chuckled at the actor, tapping his shoulder in which he immediately retracted from her touch, too surprised.
Noticing how startled he got, the assistant director cracked a smirk.
"I don't bite, Kyungsoo-ssi. Loosen up a bit,"
The look he gave to her spoke as if he's saying, 'who are you anyway?' that weirded Minkyong.
"He's always like that, Unnie. He'll loosen up a bit after a while," the actress said, smiling at Kyungsoo.
It's not like she had worked with him longer than I do, Minkyong thought. In fact, she was one of the first ones who spotted Kyungsoo during the casting of the characters. It is only rightful that the loosing up phase is done by now because it's been weeks since they started shooting for the drama.
There seems to be no problem.
But maybe Ji Hyun does have a point. It's not like Minkyong is always the one he talks to all the time.
Emitting a boyish grin, Minkyong nodded at both of them and went back to where she was sitting beside Dejun.
"Have you told them about their positions?" the director inquired.
"Yes, sir."
"And the angles?"
"Yep,"
"Alright. Camera!"
"Rolling!"
The next scene went by smoothly. Kyungsoo adapted to the environment quickly and would laugh from time to time with the other staff. As they were waiting for the crew to complete the set up on the next location, a stray dog came by the set that hooked everyone's attention. Kyungsoo and Ji Hyun exchanged turns in petting the dog as some cameramen captured the behind the scenes.
Minkyong chuckles at the sight of Kyungsoo palming the dog's face, his honey skin reflecting the sun that's hitting his arm.
"Let's have a break, everyone!" She announced as per Dejun's order.
