The halls were empty in the college building while the afternoon classes were in session.

"You guys should possibly have the essay done by the 24th, so you have all this time to work on it, so it can turn out correctly finished, to receive the nice grade. Alright. well then, anybody has any questions?" Finished Professor Tracy after explaining the new assignment to his room filled with students.

The student was processing the important information, others were finishing writing it down.

The professor's eyes scattered over the faces of the young adults to see if any of them have a question.

A young boy who was dressed nicely with eyeglasses, rose his hand, while finishing writing down the notes then looked up to the professor.

The professor sees his hand in the air, he gestures for him to ask the question, "Yes?" He asked.

"Um you didn't mention how many pages are required for the essay Professor," asked the Student loud and clear for everyone to hear. After he mentioned the question, the class looked at the Professor for the million-dollar answer; how many pages for the essay.

The class was silent for a second, "Ah thank you for reminding me uh...Tom...and yeah almost forgot about that, well the essay will be 20 pages long, of course"

The class silently groaned, but the professor heard the tiny groans here and there, and looked at the class with a little smirk, "well it is funny to hear you guys and gals groan since all of you didn't catch up to the fact that it will be due two weeks from now, its a lot and gave you all enough time to complete it" he chuckled.

Some of the students made a face of realization, of course.

"Any more questions?" Asked the professor for anything else the students may be confused about.

There was silence again in the large classroom, it became too silent. It felt a bit awkward for some.

"Well then" The Professor looks at his wristwatch, as well to break the silence "oh, just on time, now. You ladies and gents have a couple of minutes to pick up your stuff since the lecture ends in 8 minutes, if you have any questions you want to ask me personally I'll be at my desk thank you have a good afternoon, ladies and gents" said Professor Tracy making his way to his desk near the large board.

Suddenly the classroom filled with students made noise, most of them picking up their stuff and put them in their handbag, some started talking. As the silences were drowned with the commotion going on.

A young lady, sitting on the back left corner finishes picking up her stuff and waits for the 8 minutes to go by. She has dark brown hair, that reaches down past her shoulders. Wearing a large, cotton, brown sweater over her yellow collar shirt. Below she wears a dark mustard midi skirt, long enough for her, so her skin won't be exposed. Since she is embarrassed with her pale white legs. Helping her with that is her brown go-go boots that are almost knee high under her skirt.

Her name was Mindy McCann, a nice quiet California girl, attending college like any other 20-year-old. She sits their saving her energy since later in the day she'll be standing up walking around at work.

She takes a silent breath, looking around to keep her busy. While everyone around her is either sitting or standing picking up their belongings getting ready to go.

Before everything goes into silence again, a student gets up and leaves, soon the rest saw, and did the same. Although one student from the 4th row stood up and went up to the professor for a one on one question.

Mindy stands up and picks up her denim large handbag, and heads for the back door, where the student now scattered out of the class heading in different directions.

Other students from nearby classes leave as well. Mindy walks outside to the campus trails heading to the nearest parking lot, which was a bit far.

Checking her small wristwatch, she sees she's on time and heads over to the library that's ahead in her direction. Walking up to the stairs, into the entrance, she makes her way to the drinks vending machines, which were in a room before entering the book store. Taking out her small money purse, she craves a soda. Buying a Pepsi soda can. Making a ruckus, she quickly retrieves the soda and zips out of there before anybody can see her.

Finally making it out to the walkway on the 'main street' she opens her soda, she forgets that it has been given a good shaking, and it fizzes out going all over her hand, and now it's going to become sticky.

"Well shit" she mummers under her breath, she sips up the fizz and drinks some of it so it could calm down.

Spotting a water fountain she makes her way to it, to wash the stickiness to drink her soda in peace.

Mindy now settled to head her way to the parking lot and finishing up her soft drink.

Entering the parking lot, she throws away the empty soda can. She stops and tries to look back at where she left her car. Her mind is hit with memory and makes her way to the 2nd row, and then spots her car. Taking out her keys, she gets in her brown 1972 Ford LTD Brougham.

Turns her keys and drives out of the parking lot, making her way out of the campus into the city streets.

Before leaving the campus she turns the radio to KHJ; which is in the middle of playing the years hit Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh.
