Arriving at her street, her window was down, and could feel and smell the cold beach breeze nearby. Her radio was now playing; Marcella by The Beach Boys.

Mindy wonders who The Beach Boys wrote that to. Since it's a small groovy song, it had to be someone nice. But she doesn't feel like giving the time in researching what was the inspiration for the song.

Arriving in an open apartment complex, the parking was to the sides, with their small garages. Driving into the quiet neighborhood, and a sunny afternoon, there seems to be no one in sight. A jeep passes by behind her, with surfboards on the top, heading to the nearby beach.

After parking her Ford in the garage, she heads upstairs to her apartment which was 236. Luckily she didn't bump into anybody as she quickly paced to her apartment entrance. She closes the door behind her and takes a deep breath. Mindy has arrived home.

Throwing her denim handbag on the sofa near her she turns on the tv for background noise.

Heads over to the kitchen, towards the refrigerator, and opens it. To find nothing new, just juices, sauces, veggies, and one box of microwaveable TV Dinner.

"Oh well, I'll have that then..." she said, after looking at the box. "I'll buy some more today after work, and buy myself some......I guess....some In n Out!" she smiled.

She heads over to her, room and decides to take a shower.

She was now in comfortable clothes and sits at the small kitchen table, eating her Tv Dinner for lunch. Including doing some of her easy homework for other classes, to get them out of the way.

Mindy picks up a sprite bottle to drink some, but it seems to only have one small sip left. She stops writing and decides to get up for another bottle. Dropping it in the trash, she opens the freezer to grab another cold one. Opens it with a bottle opener that was hanging on the handle of the refrigerator. She takes a sip.

She's now taking a break from the homework, and the Tv catches her attention to the news report that was broadcasting that hour.

"In other news, police have reported, that another 23-year-old young lady has reported missing from her car, as it was left in the Rose Bowl parking lot in Pasadena. There is no evidence of the missing victim being injured in the process. However, some people who live nearby have heard some couple screams around 8 PM in the last night"
"So you heard some screams you say?"
"Yes certainly they were awful, horrific screams, I couldn't make out what they were saying, all I heard was help, and...get away from me... then it stopped, minutes later, a car was heard screeching out of the location. That was it, that's when I was concerned as the neighbors also heard it and so I called the police"
"This was the seventh case of young women between the age of 20 to 25 mysteriously reported missing, the first case was last year in 1977, in early November, 22-year-old woman Connie Reece {picture is shown on screen} disappeared in front of her home in West Hollywood. No evidence was found, and none has appeared, the case is still open for those who have any information, about these disappearances, send it back to you guys in the studio"

Mindy stood there in silence, having a flashback to her first year of college. Sitting to the far left of the class, when this tall blonde young lady almost her age arrives late to one of the lectures. As the professor asked for her name she said Connie Reece. This hits her, wondering what happened to her.

That's when she remembered the day she went missing, the word spread around the college grounds, soon then fliers of her picture on it and other info about her. Including the question on the top in big bold red letters; HAVE YOU SEEN ME?
