After putting back all the clothes to their rightful place, Mindy went to check if there were any misplaced clothes in the dressing rooms. Or personal items that were left there and had to be taken to the lost and found.

Since more people have entered the store, she made her way to the cashier register, to attend to the shoppers. Another younger girl who looks 17, has joined her. With blonde, long feathered hair, in the name of Shannon Dunham.

"Thank you very much, here is your change and have a great day" Mindy smiled at a young woman, and she smiled back. Took her bag with clothes, and head out to the entrance.

"Ah" Mindy sighed. She turned to Shannon, who was putting bits of papers in the trash and turned to Mindy. "How's it going?" She asked.

Shannon looked up with a tired, sad face, "well, not good, one of my good cousins, aren't coming over, this weekend."

"Damn, what happened?" Mindy asked. "Well, on the way here, I got a phone call, and it was Maxine, and she said they can't come over, cause, Robbie was flying his toy planes at the park, and landed on the other side of the street, when he went to go get it, a motorcycle ran into him and broke his leg. It was awful" explained Shannon.

"Shit, I bet that hurt, never have I ever broken a bone, thank the Lord, but Jesus Christ," said Mindy.

"Yeah, by tomorrow I'll buy him a gift to make him feel better. I'll visit them myself. The poor guy has to stay home now" added Shannon.

Mr. Spivey walked up to the cash register, "Hi ladies but sorry to interrupt your small break but, Mindy has Mrs. Samuels arrived yet?" He asked.

Mindy remembers, and nods no, "Sorry Mr. Spivey not yet"

Mr. Spivey snapped his fingers in frustration, "damn" he muttered under his breath. "Well if she comes I'll be in my office, making a phone call alright?"

"yes, sir, no problem sir" she answered.

"Thanks" Then Mr. Spivey hurried off to the back, where there was a hallway. One door to the break room, another emergency exit, and across the break room was his small office.

Shannon turns to Mindy with a smile, and eyebrows up, "say how come he has given you some important tasks, huuuuhhhhh?"

Mindy caught the hint that she thinks Mr. Spivey and/or herself got the hots for each other possibly for any reason, for being treated as an 'assistant', but she isn't.

"Well...cause...to be honest with you I actually don't know" she responded.

"Come on, Mindy you can tell me, do you have the hots for Mr. Spivey?" She giggled.

Mindy giggled nervously, "Nah, I actually don't, I'm telling you the truth Shannon" She figures out how to end this topic, then it came to her. "And how about you? Huh? Do YOU think he's hot?" Mindy asked.

Shannon slowly stopped giggling, and her face turned a bit red, "Huh?!...well..uh..n-n-no. no! What makes you say that?!" Her voice trembled a bit.

Mindy noticed her response, 'ah so she has a crush on him herself'. "Well, if I don't think he's attractive, then what do you think about him hmmm?"

Shannon stands there thinking what to say, "well......he's ... alright"

"Well then alright, but I won't tell him, secret safe with me," said Mindy. Shannon released the air she held in, from fright. "Okay," she softly said.

Then they looked back at the store, to find if anyone was ready to pay, but luckily no one was there.

When attending more shoppers, they finally manage to help them all. Then a woman in her 40s or 50s came up to them at the cash register empty-handed.

"Hello, um is Mr. Spivey here?" She asked. The young woman looked at her whom was dressed nicely for her age. "Yes, of course, I beg your pardon but are you, Mrs. Samuels?" Mindy asked.

"Of course, I am here to ask if the dress and pants are in stock?" Mrs. Samuels added.

The young women knew who she was and what they needed to do. "Alright then I'll call in Mr. Spivey he'll help you with the rest, alright Madam," said Mindy. Who excused herself with Mrs. Samuels and Shannon. Left them alone at the cashier register.

"So what have you come here for again?" Shannon asked so it wouldn't be awkward between them and make small talk. Mrs. Samuels looked at Shannon with a friendly smile. "Oh it's for my daughters 17th birthday, I overheard when she was talking to her friends on the phone last week" Shannon nod, "ah I bet she'll love it"

Mindy quickly walks towards the back of the store, directly to Mr. Spivey's office. She knocked before entering, and heard a muffled 'come in'. Then Mindy opened the door to find him looking at the paperwork.

"Mr. Spivey, Mrs. Samuels has arrived she's now waiting at the cashier register with Shannon." Said Mindy as she holds the door wide open.

Mr. Spivey's head looked up quickly to find Mindy, to the sound of Mrs. Samuels name being mention, "For Pete's sake finally!" He shot up from his seat and quickly walked around his desk. Before heading out the door he grabbed Mindy's arms near her shoulders, "Thank you Mins knew you can do it, excuse me" he said as he dashed out of his office leaving Mindy behind holding the door. Everything went fast, she had to take a couple of steps back to what just happened.

Made her way back to the cash register. There she found, Mr. Spivey talking with Mrs. Samuels, then Shannon quickly left to the back rooms passing Mindy.

"Where you goi-" "Going to get the dress and pants," said Shannon.

Mindy finishes her destination as she makes it to the cash register with Mr. Spivey. She gets the cash register ready for her purchase.

Moments later, Shannon came out of the back storage room, with the beautiful multi-colored dress and pants. Clothes that are not yet out for display.

"Thank you, really appreciate the help, oh how could I thank you for everything," said Mrs. Samuels. Mindy cash's in the product, while Mr. Spivey packs it in the bag nicely.

"Ah, it's no problem Madam Samuels, glad you like the service, and hopefully you can come back again!" Said Mr. Spivey.

As Mr. Spivey gave the bag to Mrs. Samuels, she looked at her small wristwatch and she was somehow surprised that she was running late. Mr. Spivey gave her the receipt as she snatched it and left with a quick goodbye.

Meanwhile, Mindy noticed that the cash register was low on coins she opened a new roll and gathered Mrs. Samuels's change, when looking up she was gone.

Mr. Spivey realized she was gone as well. "Oh no! She forgot her change!" Mindy froze. 'Well shit' "Mindy try to go after her and give her change!" Said Mr. Spivey. "You owe me," Mindy said to him.

Mindy held on to the change and quickly walked towards the entrance of the store. Looked around the huge hallway to spot an elderly woman with the store's signature bag. Spotted her heading towards the moving escalators. Making her way over there she calls her to halt. The woman does seem to hear her.

Mindy starts to run and finally makes it to her, calls her that she forgot her change, and the elderly woman thanks to her. She is now on her way to wherever she's headed.

Mindy purposely takes her time making her way to the store, so she can have a rest on the way over there. She looks at her wristwatch and the shift is almost over.
