Chapter Eighteen
Attempted murd- cooking.Yoongi slumped on the sofa as the hated woman walked out — somehow with pride. Yoongi didn't care, it was probably fake anyways.
The boys stared at him, still in shock. They had never seen their hyung (or Appa) so angry. Was it the fact that he could've lost his son or that a decade of torment finally broke him in two? Whatever it was it had an impact.
The four sat in uncomfortable silence, awkwardness taking a seat right their laps. Someone needed to break the silence, and Yoongi from his sleep. The second one no one planned on doing.
"Hobi... 'm hungry..." Taehyung whispered as he tugged on the older's sleeve.
"Oh come one then I'll grab you so—."
"Don't bother I need to make dinner I'll go do that now..." Yoongi said groggily. He himself was surprised at how he snapped. But it sure did tire him out, causing him to almost fall asleep on the kitchen floor. Thankfully, the boys offered to help.
Yoongi declined until Namjoon had had enough and picked him up.
"Sleep. I don't care hyung," he said sternly, pulling the blanket over the older.
"Namjoon-ah." Before Yoongi could scold him the boy was laying atop of him.
"I'm not going into the kitchen anyways, I'd break everything... just.. We never got to finish our morning hyung." Namjoon smiled as he felt Yoongi's hands stroking the back of his head.
"If you put it like that..." Yoongi said, sinking further into the bed causing Namjoon to smile. "I guess I need a nap."
Meanwhile, Taehyung was sitting on the kitchen counter (something he wasn't allowed to do when Yoongi was there) whilst the two boyfriends struggled to find Yoongi's favourite dish.
"Taehyung you really don't know!?" Jeongguk exasperated, throwing his hands on the tabletop.
Taehyung shrugged his shoulders innocently. "Appa eats anyt'ing." Hoseok muttered a 'well that's of no help' under his breath as he pulled out the cookbook he had gifted Yoongi a couple years back.
"You're absolutely divine at cooking hyung but you need to put yourself out there!" Jeongguk exclaimed.
"Well what do you want? Not like I know how to cook something different. I have that drug dealer type phone I can't look up recipes." Hoseok suddenly stood up and left the flat, confusing the two.
Eventually he came back, with a carrier bag (plastic 5p bag) in his grasp. "I got you a cookbook!"
Hoseok smiled at the memory. They were all so young then and neither him nor Jeongguk knew they'd be engaged in such a short amount of time.
"Waaaah I wanna tell Taehyung the news but Yoongi said not to..." Hoseok whispered into Jeongguk's ear. The younger grabbed the man's hands and smiled.
"Soon it'll be a reality and we won't have to worry about not telling because they'll be too busy playing together, right?" Hoseok nodded. "I love you," Jeongguk confessed. "Don't worry about saying it back babe." Hoseok wanted to, he really did but he couldn't. He wanted to wait until when they were officially together for eternity to say something so bold. A lot can happen in between engaged and married.
How did a sleeping Taehyung end up in between Namjoon and Yoongi's sleeping bodies? Well ask the couple that were making out in the middle of the kitchen, not me.
"I am so sorry for your future children and grandchildren, you two. This is... I can't even," The couple frowned, Yoongi would eat pretty much anything. They looked toward Namjoon who shook his head after placing his bowl down. The four of them looked at Taehyung, two with more hope in their eyes.
"Uncles can't cook..." he said pulling a face.
"Takeout?" Hoseok asked Jeongguk as a plan for their future.
"Takeout."
