*Harlow’s POV*

Everything had finally settled down finally, Ashley had finally talked to Dean about everything and now, we are on the hunt for another shifter that seems to enjoy taking the form of homeless people to attack those in law enforcement. I was sitting on the hotel bed while waiting for the boys to finish interviewing some poor woman that said her brother had been called out to respond to the latest call. Kaleb was helping me by sharpening weapons since I cannot let her be alone at the Bunker because this case was in New York and I do not trust Gabriel to be alone with her longer than a day. “Hey, you do know I can read your mind and how rude? I would never do anything to hurt the sweet flower that is Kaleb,” Gabriel pipes up as he appears out of thin air, causing me to almost shoot him and Kaleb to hug him, thanking the father that he was ok. He did not respond but by holding Kaleb in his arms, kissing the top of her head.

I felt a pang of anger and jealousy. Since the day I had to kill Nicole, Sam has not even kissed me longer than a simple peck on the cheek. I finished sharpening the blade when I heard his ringtone, resulting in me picking up rather quickly. “For the love of a hunter, tell me you got something? I am about to gag with all the lovey-dovey crap here!” I yell and I guess I frightened Sam because he cleared his throat before responding. “We are dealing with a Shifter. We found its hide out and it has been taking the form of everyone it eats, which is interesting. Anyway, we have to check on something and we should be home soon.” He replies and all I can do is hold the bridge of my nose. I hate Shifters as much as I hate Witches and let us say this, there is a list of what I hate but it is too freaking long to name right now. “Fine, when do you want me to be ready?” I ask and then the line went quiet.

“Sam, so help me God if you are keeping me from this hunt, I will make your life a living hell and if Dean is behind this, I will do something he may hate later!” I threaten as I hear Dean yelling that I would not. Try me, Pie-Eater! “Harlow, it’s not that we don’t want you to help but the last time you came face to face with a Shifter, it almost killed you and you are not that trained for this yet. I am sorry but I have to agree with Dean. It is safer for you to stick around the motel with Kaleb, Gabriel and Castiel. I am sorry.” Is all that he says before I hang up and literally, all I see is red. How dare he say that! I fume as Kaleb looks at me worried. “Is everything ok?” She asks as I grab my gun and my duffle.

“Say Kaleb, want to help me with something and don’t worry, it won’t hurt you.” I ask, as she looks slightly scared. “Ok….the last time I saw that face, you were going to do something either really stupid or really bad….You are going after the Shifter on your own, aren’t you?” She asks as I put my daggers in the duffle and some holy water. “Don’t tell them and if they call, just tell them I am at the store or something but don’t tell them.” I beg as Gabriel sees this as a moment to blackmail me. “Let Kaleb and I go on one date and I won’t tell them…unless you want your dirty little secret to come out.” He teases and contemplates the options. I hate that he is blackmailing me into keeping this secret. “Take it or leave it Gummy-Bear.” Sometimes, I hate that Archangel but I guess I have no choice. “Fine, but if you do anything stupid, I will pluck each feather from your pretty little wings!” I threaten back as he looks mock hurt. “Oh please, I bet that is the kinkiest thing you have done all day!” He knows how to annoy me but I have no choice but to get the rest of my things.

“I want to go too!” Kaleb voices as I reach the door. “Not No but Hell No! You are not trained to handle this kind of monster, let alone any monster. Gabriel, keep her here.” I start to walk out as she blocks the door and gives me the most evil death glare. “You said you give me a chance and I want to take that chance now dammit! Let me try!” She yells and I feel my anger boil over before I sink my shoulders in defeat, remembering that I did say I give her a chance. “Fine, get the bare essentials only. Gabriel, remember our deal.” I threaten as he laughs and holds Kaleb’s waist before she packs. “No way Gummy Bear. If you are letting my Cupcake go and get hurt by a monster, I want to be there to heal her if I need to.” He mocks as Kaleb pushes him off. “For the last time…I am not a CUPCAKE!” She yells as Gabriel kisses her cheek and she blushes before calling him an idiot. “But I am your idiot, lollipop” He starts as I go to walk out. Damn them and their seemingly perfect relationship. I hear Sam calling me and I send it to voicemail. If he wants to keep me from this, I will do it on my own then.
