*Kaleb’s POV*

Ahh, New Year’s Eve, a day to remember all the good things about the year but today was also going to be a fun day because I was going to be in for the surprise of a lifetime. It all started this morning when I was playing a board game with Castiel, let me say for the record, I hate the Game of Life because I always get freaking kids. Gabriel was away for something but promised he would come by today and I was excited to see him. I was losing in the game when I see Dean come in and he looked upset. I was about to ask if the Impala was hating on him for cheating on her with Ashley but Castiel piped up first. “Dean, is something wrong, you seem upset.” Castiel questions while he looks around at those Ashley loves most.

“Does anyone know why Ashley cancelled our date? If you do, please tell me.” he actually pleads with some stability in his voice. Harlow and Sam shake their head and say they do not know but I do but I can’t tell him… It was a secret after all. He turns to look back at Castiel and he looks confused again. “I do not know why she cancelled your outing together. She has not prayed to anyone today so that is unusual. I should go check on her.” He start to say as he stands up but before he leaves, Dean grab his arm and they leave together. At least now, I don’t have to worry about losing.

“Maybe she is just having an off day. Besides, Ashley needs to not think about her date because she doesn’t need to go on a date with Dean anyway.” Harlow starts off saying as I roll my eyes. “Harlow give him a chance, besides, maybe he does like her like he says he does.” Sam tries to explain before a voice all of us were not ready to hear pipes up. “Well Duh…He does like her, its as obvious as it is obvious with how much candy I eat.” The new voice explains and I turn and run to the new voice. “Gabriel!” I yell as I grab him tightly in my arms, not caring that Harlow was giving him a death glare but that I had this amazing and not to mention funny, archangel in my arms.

“Hey Lollipop, I am back. Did you miss me or something?” He teases me as I stick my tongue out at him. “Jerk. I am not a lollipop” I try to explain as he kisses my nose before looking at Harlow and Sam with a serious expression on his face. “I am cashing in my date with Kaleb if you don’t mind.” He starts to say as Harlow looks beyond pissed now. “Hell will freeze over and Lucifer will do figure 8s on the frozen fires before I let you go on a date with her.” She starts off saying before Gabriel looks at the confused Sam. “Did you forget our deal Gummy Bear…About how I keep my mouth shut about you going on that shifter hunt alone and I get to take Kaleb out on a date” he teases as Sam looks kinda pissed now. “Well shoot, look who went and opened his big mouth. Come on Kaleb, let’s let the two Moose fight while I treat you to an amazing date!” He snaps and literally, Harlow yelled his name but did not finish it before I can tell that something amazing was going on.

It was a sweet smelling place that reminded me of chocolate and I could smell the saltiness of pretzels nearby too. I opened my eyes and I could tell that I was not in Kansas anymore, I don’t even think I was in America anymore because this place was colder than back home but Gabriel helped me into a warm overcoat before taking my hand and walking me inside the sweet shop. “Sorry for the sudden escape like that but I rather listen to you yell at me then have them yell.” He explains as we look at the sweets and I must say, this man knows me so well. There was fruit flavored ones, some with chocolate and mint and there was even one that had Chile pepper in it. “It is ok, I wanted to get away anyway. How was your work?” I imply, as I taste one of the samples of candy and see a smirk on his face.

“It was boring…I wanted to prank who I was helping but they were just sticks in the mud, no fun at all.” He laughs as I smile while enjoying the sweetness of the chocolate of the chocolate and of his laughter. It has only been 3 days since we last saw each other but to me, it felt like a lifetime. In just four short months, we went from barely knowing each other to wanting to never be separated from each other. He was my angel and I was his human soul mate. “So, did you find the candy you want yet, cupcake?” He asks me as I glare at him.
