Ever since they might at the club Cameron's gang has been very tense and sceptical around me. Lexi found out who I really was and didn't put much thought to it, saying she didn't care and she won't bash me for it so long as I brought her chocolate hazelnut or make her some choclate chip pancakes with chocolate syrup.
Cameron had his little talk with Craig, threatening him to marry his sister and take care of their baby. Craig was more that willing to comply and had a permanent, ugly scar on the upper left side of his back to reming him of the stupid mistake he'd made rejecting his child and his gang-leader's sister.
I spent most of my week updating my café. I've recently added a tiny section where people could come and purchase books. It was kind of cute and the books were actually selling. I added a few more pastries to the menu and had Lexi try them out first since she was more than happy to with all that hormone filled appetite she had.
I typed away at the kitchen island in a hurry to send in the e-mail for some more books. Aries was already asleep in her doggy bed and Cameron went home after what went down at his club.
I really wanted to send this. I was one of those people that liked to put things off and if I put this off now there was a garantee I will never get it done. I clicked send on my laptop and slammed it shut. I ran my fingers through freshly cut hair. The previous day I had went to the salon to get my hair cut. I had it done a little below my shoulder blades and some Asian guy from a company that sold wigs and hair extensions brought it. He brought it at a really good price even though I told him numerous times he could get it for free. Lexi was still crying over my hair and is refusing to talk or even look at me but I didn't give that thought a second glance. She was pregnant and she'll get over it eventually. I made to extra buttery popcorn, grabbed packet of skittles and made a snickers milkshake. I gathered the mountain of junk good and sat on the comfy reclining chair in my home theatre. I was about to put in a movie when I heard a loud but hasty banging on my front door.
I jumped out of my comfortable spot and raced downstairs to answered the unwanted visitors. Whoever it was didn't wait for me to open the door properly. The door was forcefully pushed open nearly banging me in the face and in stepped a Vin covered in blood, Jack going on and out of consciousness and a few other bloodied men.
"Damn, what happened to you guys?" I asked.
"Lovely greeting" Nash rolled his eyes sarcastically while nursing his shoulder wound.
"Their gang got attacked and this was the only place I knew they could come and regroup" Vin answered for them.
"And why my house, in another country?" I crossed my arms.
"It was an attack from the inside" Nash mumbled.
"And where's Lexi?" I asked leading the to the infirmary.
"With her grandmother" I nodded, satified with my answers and began surgery on Jackson.
We lost him twice and he barely made it out alive, I purposely did some mean things while stitching up some of the man due to their nasty and inappropriate remarks. I wasn't exactly dresses for visitors, in some short booty shorts and a large T-shirt with no bra under it. After getting the guys cleaned up, I get them something to eat and hurried upstairs to get cleaned up and to get back to my movies.
The following day I want to work as usual in order not to arouse suspicion since the police had been tailing them the following night. While Anna and the other guys worked in the kitchen, register and tended to the customers I carefully stacked the shelves with the new books that just came in alphabetical order.
While I was stacking the empty shelves I felt eyes burning holes in the back of my head. Want to see who it was but not wanting to give myself away I started looking around frantically through the corners of my eyes and at anything that reflected, so I could get a clear vision of behind me without looking too uncomfortable or suspicious.
I saw a guy looking through the transparent glass by the door of the café. He was dressed in black skinny jeans and a black hoodie that hid his face from veiw. He leaned against the glass casually smoking a cigarette, so very few people found him suspiscious. There was a ring in his right pinky with a symbol on it but I was so far away I couldn't see what it was. He lifted his head high enough so I could see his mouth. He gave a creepy grin that looked more like a smirk, basically proof he knew I was watching him too. He blew me a kiss and stomped out his cigarette before leaving in a red pick-up truck that had just stopped across the street from the café.
I could already pin point a few things about his personality, he seemed very cocky and overly confident. I was only able to get three digits from the licences plate before the vehicle sped down the road. It was extremely disappointing but I was on my toes. I later noticed the same truck circling around the block a couple of time and I was slightly glad I could get the rest of the plate number and a few distinguishing features about the vehicle.
Eventually after the truck circled the area the seventh time a man stepped out but he wasn't the one that was smoking by my café door. He was about an inch taller with a bigger build, there was a sleeve of tattoo on his left arm that was in German, a language I couldn't understand. He had blonde hair and bright forest green eyes that was quite beautiful. He was in a black fitted V-neck shirt and dark washed jeans.
With his shades low in his nose and his large hands stuffed into his pockets he walked into the café with such grace a man of his build shouldn't be able to comprehend.
He ignored all the different looks he was getting from the customers and walked right up to me. "Are you Justina?"
