I pulled up to beautiful two story house not far from the beach.
"I thought you said you weren't from around here" I said killing the engine.
"I'm not, my brother just brought this house. Our parents and I are just spending a couple of days" she rolled her eyes. The statement seem to have held a second meaning but I didn't press any further.
She opened the door with a spare key she had. No one was home and the place seem to have just been brought. There was no personal touch to the house.
"Looks like he didn't come back" she mumbled as she threw down her stuff in the foyer.
Would you like me to keep you company till he does? " I offered .
"I'd love that thank" she beamed. "Come on, my room's this way" she excitedly pulled me up the stairs.
Her room seemed to be the only room I say so far with a personal touch to it. The wells were painted blue, glow in the dark stars decorated the wells and ceiling in a galaxy like pattern. The queen sizes had was in the middle of the room with drawing supplies scattered on the fluffy blue sheets.
"What's this?" I asked picking up one of the drawings and examined it.
"Those are just some clothing designs I do when I'm bored, you know" she figet with her fingers.
"They're beautiful " I said looking at some of the others "I'd love to walk down the runway in one of these" I grinned at her.
"You've got a gift here Lexie, and I'd be happy to help you share it with the world"
"Really?"
"Really" I smiled at her.

Lexie and I spent hours doing sketches, getting to know each other and joking around. Her parents seemed like a sore subject for her so I didn't ask her about them.
"Hungry?" She asked.
"Starving" I groaned and dramatically rolled off the bed.
She giggled and rolled her eyes.
"Come on" she dragged my lazy butt down stairs."What should we eat?" We asked at the same time before we broke into a fit of laughter.
"Okay so it's 6:30 pm so how about dinner? " I asked. As if on que Lexie's tummy rumbled "At this point my tummy and I don't care so long as its food" she giggled.
I searched through the fridge and found the necessary ingredients to make a shrimp stirfry.
"How about I make a punch?" Lexie offered from the island.
"Sure, why not" I shrugged while cutting up the vegetables.
I shared the stirfry into two plates while Lexie set the table and got the drinks.
"This is good!" Lexie exclaimed stuffing her face with food.
"How lady-like " I laughed.
"Hey!" She pout at me "I'm hungry okay, so cut me some slack"
Half way through the dinner both our phones started to go off. We paused and stare at eat other for a minute "Okay you get yours I get mine" she said picking up her phone.
I nodded and answered mine.
"Hello, Justina speaking""Where the fuck are you?!" KJ yelled making me deaf in my right ear.
"Calm the fuck down, I'm at a friend's place" I rolled my eyes.
"I thought someone fucking took you, I've been searched all over town since noon" he said a little calmer than before.
"It's okay, I'm fine. I'll see you soon kay?" I asked.
"M'Kay but be back in time for the ball tomorrow okay, love you Tina"
"Love you too KJ" I smiled and hung up.
"So who was it?" Lexie asked with her elbows propped on the dining table.
"My brother, I kinda left our hotel before he woke up this morning" I laughed nervously. "What about you?" I asked.
"It was my dad" she groaned and rubbed her temples with her finger tips. "It's dramatic on his end, he's flipping shit thinking I ran away. Mom's crying in the back ground and god knows what jackson was up to, I told him where I was and Jackson flipped shit" she laughed.
"Poor thing" I laughed. "He must feel like a dumb bitch"
We finished eating and quickly did the dishes before settling down with popcorn and oreo milkshakes as desert to watch 'Suicide Squad' in the living room.
Less than twenty minutes into the movie we hear tires screech into the drive was and the front door bursted open revealing a slightly worried, slightly pissed off beast of a man.
He looked down on Lexie and relaxed a little before his eyes may mine "who are you?" His voice deep and smoothe as honey and slightly out of breath.
"Justina, you sorta yelled at me earlier" I laughed at his appearance.
"I did?" He asked with a raised brow.
"Yeah you yelled at her over the phone when she found me at the mall and tried to tell you I was okay" Lexie laughed.
"Oh" was all he could say with a barely visible blush on his tanned cheeks.
Feeling the tension rise Lexie excused herself to her room saying she'd text me later.
"Anyways I gotta go" I said picking up my purse and car keys.
"Sorry if Lexie was a bother to you, she can be a handful sometimes" he said scratching the back of his neck.
"Naah she's an awesome kid, we kinda get along real well" I smiled "She reminds me of myself when I was her age"
"So I'll see you around?" He asked.
"Yeah, maybe" I turned the keys in the ignition and the vehicle roared to life.
