They entered their dormitory. It had two beds in each corner. The walls were bright green and had many plants floating around. There were two dressers and a door that led to bathrooms. A large, golden coffee table and four matching golden chairs hovered in the middle of the room. There was also a huge window behind one of the beds in the back of the room. They looked out it and there was the view of the rest of Eastwood Orphanage and more rolling hills. Talia started focusing her eyes on the window. The other children stared at her, wondering what she could possibly be doing. Suddenly, the window showed the view of a street with many lined houses and Talia relaxed. She noticed the confused faces of her dormmates.

"This type of window can show the view of anywhere you'd like as long as you focus on it hard enough. You can tell which kind of window that does this because it's from this brand". She pointed to a small inscription on the side of the window that read "Kali Dagon.

Talia continued, "They had this in my old school library. The street that's being shown was my old neighborhood." She smiled slightly and simply stared out the window, watching a few kids chasing each other and a woman with a purse who seemed to be floating to work.

Dylan laughed, breaking the silence. "It barely seems like an orphanage. Everything is so neat! I prefer Eastwood over my parents." Everyone glared at him. Hiraeth scoffed in disbelief. She couldn't believe he said something that insensitive.

"Sorry," Dylan mumbled. Will shyly moved from the window and sat on one of the hovering chairs and the other kids followed suit. They sat in awkward silence and Hiraeth felt impatient.

"So, how did your parents die, if you don't mind me asking? My mother died serving in the Magical Military and then my father committed suicide." Hiraeth commented.

"Mine were killed by the Shadow Corporation." Will said with an odd tone.

Talia shifted uncomfortably in her seat. "The Shadow Corporation drove my parents insane, which led them to commit suicide." A tear rolled down her cheek. Hiraeth immediately sympathized with her.

"I-I hope you guys don't hate me for this." Dylan stammered.  All the children turned to him.

"Mine worked with the Shadow Corporation and died while trying to kill someone." Dylan said bashfully. He suddenly laughed. "It's a quite pathetic way to die, isn't it? Killed while trying to kill someone else." No one else found this funny and they all fell quiet again.

"Let's get ready for classes." Talia said, leaving her chair. The kids agreed and unpacked their suitcases.
