Chapter Three

The day ended and the Walls closed and i finish up the last of my work. Then a hand landed on my shoulder. I zipped around and drew back my fist. But it was just Newt "you scared the shit out of me.." He laughed "heh sorry" i took off my gloves and stuffed them in my pocket. He said "so ready to go to the bomb fire?" I said "whoa what for?" He said "you of corse" I blushed a little then we walk there. Tom was standing there along with all the other boys. I smiled a little Tom nudged me. He said "hey so how was your day?" I shrug and said "It was good what bout' yours?" He shrugged "fine i guess" Then they where have some sort of fight. For fun i shrug and say "not fun at the Saluter house?" He shook his head "Just not for me" Chuck said "yeah coz you got it in your Shuckin' head that ya wanna be a Runner." I raised an eyebrow and said "Aren't they the best of the best? Tom no offense but you might die." Tom said "geezz ain't ya a raigh of sunshine." I said "hey just layin' down the facts." Chuck said "thats what i told this shuck for brains!" I laugh a little and then one of the boys in the fight falls in the dust. Gally's standing there smirking He said "who else wants to Shuckin' fight." I slip on my gloves and say "i will." Gallys jaw dropped he said "um no offense but..." i said "what you think i can't fight because im a girl? Then what are you afraid of? Gettin' you ass handed to you on a sliver platter?" Gally said "you know what fine but don't worry sweetie i'll go easy on ya." I rolled my eyes Then got in my fighting stance. Then he swung his first punch i ducked. i did a flip then swiped his feet out from under him. Then pinned him down and said "Don't worry 'Sweetie' i'll go easy on ya." I said Sarcastically he grunted in fruition. I got up and walked away from him. Newt said "whoa that was...whoa." I laugh "thanks" i watch a smirk creep across his lips. I look over and Gally said "hey nice job think you could show me that filppy filppy thing you did some time?" I shrug and said "don't see why not" he patted me on the back and walked off. Newt said "never seen him take a loss so well." I nod and say "eh whatever not really interested why." He smiled a little and said "yeah, looks like i'm not the only one taken back by your charm." I blushed and moved my hair out of my face. I said "T-Thank you" he smiled down at me and said "No problem.." He said wiping some mud off my cheek. He gave me a sweet smile and said "why don't you go get some sleep." I nod and went to bed.

_____THE NEXT DAY_____
I woke up the next day and i went to the Bath rooms and cleaned my self up. I re-Did my Buns then slipped my Gloves back on. I walked out and then went to Breakfast. I ate then I saw Alby and Minho Go off into the maze. Newt Looked over at me and said "Yesterday Minho found a Dead Griever so Alby wants to cheek it out." I give nod and asked "so am i going back over to the Farm." Newt said "Nah Gally kept buggin' us about you helpin' the builders today." I said "So i'm over..." Newt nodded and i shrugged "mkay." Newt walked me over there. Gally looked over and smiled he came up and asked "Ready to start working?" I said "yeah" he said "Good that" Newt said "Well i'll leave ya to it Sagey." He patted me on the back and walked away. I smile at him the turn to Gally he said "Ready?" I nodded He said "Ok i want ya to get some wood" i shrug and walk to the wood pile and pick up several pices of wood. Gally said "Now come here..." I nod and fallow him. He said "so we build all the stuff we use here...Like the Shovels that the Dead heads use and the ones the Track Hose use, The weapon's that the Runners take Arrows for Albys Bow. And the leaders at for the stands." I gave a nod and he smiled and said "I want you to make a shovel let me show you how Sage." I nodded and he went over and sat down i sat down next to him. He said "Ok so.." he picked up a pice of wood and pulled out his knife. "You take the wood an widdle away at the Access wood." He said putting the Knife in my hand Taking my wrist and flicking away at the wood. He said "and keep doing so until it makes a long celinder." He said flipping it over the he made the top part of it. We finished the pole then he Picked up a end if a metal shovel. He said "then Put the end pice on and then take it to Jacob over there and he will secure it on there." He said running his hand threw his black hair. Gally smiled at me and picked up the shovel and held out a hand to help me up. I took it and he hand it to him Gally said "Jacob this is Sage, Sage this is Jacob." He has Chestnut colored hair and Green eyes and tan skin. I smile a little and say "Hi" he looked taken back and said "Hey.." I nod and Gally hands him that. Then i go back an do what Gally told me. After what seemed like a few hours Someone came up behind me and poked my sides. I stood up and twisted around and Drew back to punch. But it was just Tom i said "Dammit Tom you scared the hell out of me, Do that to me again and your gonna fucking lose a foot." He said "Heh sorry" I rolled my eyes and went back to what i was doing. Gally walked over and said "What are you doing here Slinthead?!" Tom's smile hardened into a glare. He said "just came to see Sage what do you think i'd come here to see you?" Gally said "Really coz it looked like you where distracting her now slim it and shucking go!" Tom just walked away i bit my lip and didn't say anything. I finished up my shovel and handed it off to Jacob. I asked "What was that all about?" He shook his head and said "No idea Gally's had somthin' against Greenie' since he got here." I shrug and go back to my work.

-------BEFORE SUNSET-----
We walk to the walls still no sign of Alby an Minho. The walls start to shut but then Minho comes running up lugging Alby along with him. As the door where just about shut Tom runs out in between the doors and it shuts. He Minho an Alby gone just like that.
