Chapter Four

I run to the doors i look back at Newt he was just standing there stone faced. Gally said "Heh well goodbye Thomas" My head snapped toward that snarcky remark. I said "What is wrong with you!? Two of your Friends just got locked out of the glade and all you can think about Is Thomas Dieing? God your a Jerk!" I stormed off wanting to be alone. I was in the wood and i just sat down on a fallin' tree. I sighed and put my elbow on my knee. Then a twig snapped i looked over my shoulder and it was Chuck. He said "hey...thanks for standing up for Thomas he would've aprecatted it." I smiled and said "well Chuck it true Gally opened is Hole when he shouldn't have." Chuck just looked at me and said "he's probably Dead by now." I said "Chuck who know's maybe he'll turn out fine so will Minho an Alby." Chuck said "But no one has served out in the Maze over night." I shrugged and said "Just because no one has doesn't mean no one will." Then i heard a voice "You can't be so bloody optimistic Sagey." Newt i looked back and said "I'm trying to give the boy hope, Not to Minton He's your Friend too and Minho and Alby are out there as well." Newt said "if i got up set over ever little buggin' thing then i wouldn't be a good second in command." I bit my lip and said "Just at least let him have hope that his Friend is still alive and if there not well then Blame me. There's nothing in it for me." When in all honesty i wanted them to be alive and well. Its not right to have The leader a Keeper and A Newbie all locked outside of the glade. But Minho is the Keeper of the Runners he should know the maze better than anyone. Newt said "I wont blame you for trying to comfort Chucky, i'm not much of a help right now am i?" I shrug and Chuck says "I wont blame you Sage your just trying to help i know that." I smile and tousle his hair and i said "Don't worry Minho is the Keeper of the Runners right? If so then he should know the Maze better than anyone." Newt and Chuck nod i look at them and say "ok lets go and get some Shut eye." I can't sleep how could i knowing that there out there fighting for there lives. I lay down on the grass my pillow under my head i heave a sigh. I cover myself up then before i knew it i had drifted off into sleep.
_____THE NEXT DAY_____
I woke up eerily along with Newt and Chuck. The doors Slowly and they weren't there. I sighed but then started to walk away but then Chuck said "Sage! Look!" I look back and Minho and Tom are running and dragging Alby along with him. Tom and Minho got inside the Glade and Chuck said "Whoa...Sage...you where right." Once they got in the glade the Med-Jacks took Alby to the homestead. Thomas smiled over at me a little. He said "hey..." i said "so bet that was an adventure huh?" Tom laughed and said "oh yeah." He rolled his eyes Gally said "How is that even possible!? Your spouse to be dead!" He pointed to Tom i was starting to get really really mad. I said "Hey Gally Why don't you just shut the hell up!" Gally looked taken back by me saying that. I say "there ok thats all that matters you asshole!" I rolled my eyes an walked away. Newt fallowed me he said "That was a little Harsh don't ya think?" I said "Pft he's a big boy i'm pretty sure me cussing at him didn't make him put on a skirt an run into the maze." Newt chuckled and said "Y,Know your grown' on Me shank." He lightly smacked my arm. I smile and then Tom and Minho come walkin' up. Minho said "Hey Sage." I smile and say "Hey" He said "so did all you Sissy shanks start cryin' when ya thought i was dead." I rolled my eyes and say sracsticly "Oh yeah totally Newt here Balled his eyes out." I gave him a light punch on the arm. Minho laughed and said "that doesn't surprise me." Tom said "Heh see i told ya they act alike." Minho said "Yeah But Sage makes a Prettier Newt." Newt's head flicked up and said "mm well i think she acts like you Minho ya wanna know what she just said?" He said with slight irration in his voce. He said "she said about Gally 'Pft he's a big boy i'm pretty sure me cussing at him didn't make him put on a skirt and run into the maze.' Sounds like something you'd say." Minho Laughed he said "i like her."
