3- DM

I apologize for the last chapter. I wrote it at like 5 am so it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be but whatever.

No trigger warning for this chapter :)

Clay's eyes peeled off of his monitor when his phone buzzed. {Georgenotfound tweeted.} Clay raced to pick up his phone and unlock it. He always made a point to be one of the first likes on all of Georges tweets. The tweet read: "Hello all! I'm looking for new people to code with. I have so many ideas but I'm not advanced enough to test them out myself. If you're interested, shoot me a DM and I'll try and get back to you. You will need a background of coding and a decent knowledge of computers and minecraft."

Clay's heart began to pound as he trailed his eyes over this tweet. He had all the requirements and he considered himself a god at minecraft. He quickly made his way over to twitter DM's in order to send his "application" in hopes to be picked. This was his only chance to finally get to know George. The absolute love of his life. The only issue was, George didn't know it yet.

George was on call with Sapnap when he sent out his tweet.

"George you could have asked me ya know? I am fantastic at coding." Sapnap whined.

"Yeah right sippy cup. I've seen your work. You're good but I need someone a little better." George laughed.

"That's RUDE!"

"Calm down Nick i'm just kidding. You're a great coder. I just want more friends."

George was taken back by the sudden wave of DM's he started to receive. Hundreds of people begging to be picked. He sighed as he started to sift through them. Too young, too old, no proper training, "what's minecraft". George laughed as he read this one out to sapnap.

"On what planet would you try and apply if you didn't even know what the video game was?" George howled through laughter.

Sapnap laughed with him.

After hours of reading, he came across one DM from someone with the username "Dream". He recognized this handle from his streams and from his likes on twitter. He reluctantly clicked on the DM like he had done for everyone else, but something stood out about this mans application. It was properly written, he had the right background with coding and minecraft, and he overall just seemed like a super sweet person.

He began formulating his reply.

Hours went by with no response to his DM. Clay was defeated. This was his only chance and he probably blew it. Did he come off too strong? Did he not meet the requirements? Did George even see it? He collapsed into his harsh thoughts. The love of his life didn't know he existed and there was nothing he could do about it.

A single tear fell down his cheek as he lifted himself off of his chair and into bed. He was done with today. He didn't want to think about anything. He didn't want to "be". He closed his eyes and tried to carry himself off to sleep and of course at that exact moment, his phone buzzed. "Oh my fucking god what now?!" he yelled at his phone as he angrily forced himself out of bed to check his phone.
