Eventually Dan returned his parents texts, assuring them he was okay, simply stressed.
He continued to use his whiteboard to communicate to people however.
....well accept to Phil of course.
Dan could talk to Phil for hours and not feel the need to hide away.
"Sonic or Mario?" Phil questioned peering at Dan expectantly.
It was a Saturday again and they found themselves at the same Starbucks having coffee.
"Aw Phil C'mon that's not fair!" Dan argued making Phil laugh.
"Its totally fair! You made me pick between two of my favorite movies." Phil shot back.
"Well played. Well played." Dan sighed still smiling softly.
A small silence fell over the table.
"Dan? I was wondering... Do you want to possibly do some collab videos for YouTube?" Phil asked seemingly shy.
Dan's grin grew wide as he internally fanboyed.
"Of course. Do you have any ideas on what you want to film?"
Phil grinned.

After arriving at Phil's flat, they filmed some goofy videos for their channels.
At one point Dan found himself captivated by Phil's smile.
It only lasted a few seconds, But it was long enough to set off the fluttery feeling in his stomach.
Afterwards, they agreed to a Disney movie marathonn.
They were both curled up in comfortable blankets and Dan wished he never would have to leave this moment.
For the first time in months Dan felt completely relaxed and happy.
But eventually his eyes grew heavy and his lack of sleep from the past few nights caught up to him.
He didn't even notice he was cuddling towards Phil as he drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

"Dan? Dan wake up."
Dan groaned and snuggled closer to the warmth near him.
There was a chuckle.
"C'mon Dan wakey wakey. "
Dan's eyes drifted open as an involuntary yawn erupted from him.
He took in his surroundings confused, before blushing horribly.
Dan had somehow made it basically into Phil's lap, cuddling into his stomach.
He had no clue how he had ended up there.
"I'm s-sorry," Dan stuttered sitting up.
"It's fine! I was just wondering, since its already so late, if you wanted to spend the night?"Phil smiled.
Dan returned the smile and nodded furiously before yawning again.
"You're so adorable."Phil giggled.
Dan blushed harder,"Shut up Phil."
Phil laughed and leaned in slightly.
"Make me." And before Dan could react, their lips were being pressed together.
