it smelled like a hotel dining hall, a mix of well done eggs and canadian bacon cooking perfectly in two pans. the man holding a spatula, switching between both pans was looking pretty perfect too — despite just waking up and throwing on a robe to be ready for the morning.

"i'm thinking noodles." jin said, scrambling more of the eggs on one side of the pan, the other keeping the sunny side up egg warm. "jungkook strikes me as a spicy guy." he added.

his boyfriend hummed and rose an eyebrow, "yeah? what gave that away." namjoon said.

"what, do you think kebabs would be better." jin asked. he really was the best at multitasking, having the ability to throw a look over his shoulder whilst also setting up two plates for their breakfast. namjoon shrugged and stopped playing with the fork while he waited. "i think he's a moody kid. he'll be fine once the hangover passes." namjoon  said.

seokjin plated the eggs, each sitting snug beside pan-fried rice and vegetables for their morning meal. "okay so noodles and a side of advil." he said it with a smile, pushing one plate over to his love.

"how about," namjoon started, "you come here, and eat, and stop worrying about everyone else for one morning." he said it with a smile, making his words come across nicer.

jin did as he was told, holding his plate carefully while walking around the island to sit beside the other male. "so don't worry about anyone but me?" he repeated, seeing the way namjoon nodded now with a bigger smile, "not even you?" jin clarified. he was smiling now too.

"exactly!" namjoon said, shoving a huge bite of egg into his mouth. "there's nothing for you to worry about, i got a good meal every morning and a gorgeous boyfriend every day. i'm living great." he only made the older smile some more, now accompanied with a light blush on his cheeks.

jin now barely carried for the breakfast, turning to face the other male more. "okay, how about today we leave just for us? no one else, we stay in all day and pretend like life outside this house doesn't exist."

it was music to namjoons ear, and he answered with a kiss to his boyfriends mouth. "fuck yeah." he said.

there was such little time to be selfish these day, to only do things for pure desire. sometimes it was necessary to find that time to reward ourselves, however form that comes in. to them it was nothing big, nothing more than the time that could be spent together.

they were so close, nearly done with their breakfast and about to disappear behind closed doors and under blankets to snuggle for the rest of the days hours — but it was the front door flying open and hitting the wall that interrupted the couple.

"jin hyung!" it was jimin yelling. he walked right in, hood up and sweatpants baggy, held up by strings tied tight and waistband rolled. hoseok came trailing in behind his boyfriend, closing the door gently behind them and mouthing an apology to the hyungs. "i need you." jimin said it with a pout and big eyes, and all namjoon needed was a look from the side and he knew his plans with his boyfriend was shot.

"look at the baby dumpling." jin said, pointing at jimin standing there all small. namjoon stood up and took both plates that still had egg on them. "have fun with that, these are my eggs now." he said, walking down the hall to their shared bedroom.

"i love you!" jin yelled down the hall. "yeah yeah i know." namjoon said back. "let me know how it goes."

hoseok goes to the fridge and pulls out a bottle of juice. "mine drags me along." he said, but jimin only smiled innocently and wrapped his arms around his boyfriends waist. "you're supportive." the smaller one said, then he opened his mouth for some juice.

"mine wanted eggs." jin said, "now what's up."

"we need to plan the bestest friendsgiving." jimin said, walking over to sit on a stool once his boyfriend gave him some sips of juice.

jin nodded while the younger spoke to him. "that was the plan originally." he piped in.

"yeah but now it has to be even more better." jimin tried to explain. "jungkook needs to be fully integrated in so he feels a part of it." in his head it made perfect sense, he knew the ravenette and he knew everyone would like him. there was a pretty softness behind that exterior he put out.

hoseok stood behind jimin now, putting his arms around the boys neck in a loose hug and resting his chin on top his head. "remember he might not want that babe," hoseok said, "jungkook is quite into the hermit lifestyle."

"i like to think of him as a wolf." jin said.

"i like to think of him as my baby so we will do this and we will all be happy." jimin said, making the other two fall quiet.

hoseok looked over at the eldest who had pursed his lips and seemed to be in full thought. "this is what i've been dealing with all morning." he said, now looking down at jimin and pretending to put him in a head lock, "and it was so annoying!" he was playing, making jimin hold onto the arms around his neck while he giggled.

jin chuckled a little at the playful couple. "all i can do is invite him." he said, "but i cant force him to come, you know that."

"i can."

"no." hoseok said to his boyfriend. "you will play nice this friendsgiving." he told him.

jimin narrowed his eyes slightly, little intimidating crescents. "i will be nice." he said, "i will nicely drag jungkook here to eat my fucking casserole." the slight attitude showed at the end, but he smiled sweet to fix up that tude.

"have you tried talking to him?" jin asked.

jimin nodded, "yeah, he hasn't texted back." the blonde played with the sleeves of his hoodie, looking down at them in his lap.

"and has he talked to taehyung?" jin wasn't sure if he wanted to ask that, and considering the way jimins face twisted a little at the mention of the other male kinda told him maybe he shouldn't have. "why would he talk to tae first." jimin said.

"don't play dumb. we all know why." the eldest said, not afraid to actually call him out.

hoseok hugged his boyfriend from behind a little tighter, looking over at jin with a smile. "we've been working on our sharing skills, gets a bit territorial over on our side of town." he said.

jin nodded and sighed lightly, "i'll text him, but i'm not the closest with him, other than giving advice a few times and showing up with food." he said, "but i'll let you know." he told the blonde, patting his leg and seeing the way jimin simply mumbled a thank you. hoseok kissed the boys cheek, not letting go from the hug he had him in.

it seemed to be a touchy topic — for no reason at all in jins mind. as much as he loved the ones around him, this seemed nearly childish to worry over. they were adults with the freedom to make their own decisions, no matter where those choices lead us.

petty feelings and petty actions were the result of childish thoughts driven by uglier emotions. it was the job of the mediator to get between and sort the issues out, like picking petals off a prickly stem — jin hoped to make them bloom into something beautiful, when the threat of withering seemed too close.
