''I'm not going!'' I sigh sitting on the bed. ''come onnn, we haven't gone to a party in ages.'' Says Athena. ''Just once!'' follows back Winter. ''I'm not intrested'' I say bluntly. ''Theres gonna be basketball boyss, a lot actually.'' Says Winter. ''cool.''

They keep going trying to make me go and I finally give up. ''fine!'' I yell ''ok, good the party starts at 7 and wear something smexy'' Says Winter. I laugh at the last part. ''yeah ok.'' 

Winter and Athena leave and I check the time. its 5 pm right now so I start looking for what to wear. I decided on wearing wearing a white thigh high dress with a neon orange ankle high puffer jacket and gold jewelry. 

''Plan on telling me where your going?'' Says my mom in a sturn voice while standing in the door frame with her arms crossed. ''ah! mommm you scared me! and uh I'm going to a party.'' I say 

''Whoes gonna be there?'' She says ''ummm Winter, Athena, school friends and some basketballers from Arizona State, they had a game here in Cali.'' I say. ''Hmm fine you can go'' She says walking out my room. I sigh, thank god. I change into my outfit and text Winter to pick me up. ''oh god I hope Jalen isn't there'' I say to myself while waiting outside for Winter and Athena to pick me up. I was on my phone when I started here music. I look up to see Winters car there in front of me. I laugh and jump in. 

''Girlll you look hottt'' Says Athena. ''so do yall thooooo'' I say taking a picture of us. ''Girl I think we can find you a new boo at the party.'' Winter says smirking. ''boys ain't shit you know'' I say to her.  ''Yeah but men are'' Athena laughs. ''Whatever yall'' I giggle. ''no but real talk the Arizona state boys are hottt.'' Says Athena to us. ''Bro I've got my eye glued on Sharife cooper.'' Replies Winter. ''I mean, he's ok'' I tell her and she gasps. ''Stop the cap'' she tells me. ''girl I didn't say anything that needed cap.''

We arrive at the place they were hosting the party and walk in, and ofc I did my power walk😝. People stopped and stared. It was all quiet when we walk in, only the music playing. ''Girls finally!'' Says Emmie, the girl hosting the party. ''Its really nicely set up'' I say. ''go enjoy yourselfs and thank you Journee!'' She smiles at us before leaving.

''Girls lets go dance'' I smile at them. ''no need to say it twice'' Winter says laughing as we walk onto the dance floor. My favourite, icy girl pops up on the d.j. ''Yasss girl this is my jammm!'' I scream. ''cuz I'm icy, wifey haters wanna fight me!'' I rap out loud while twerking. ''Aye! thats my bestie!'' yells out Athena. I look to my side and see a guy looking at me, he looked familiar but then not. I shrug it off and continue dancing. 

''Yall hold up leme go to the bathroom'' I say to them, walking away. I go up the stairs before someone pulls me down. I roll my eyes, I know who it is. ''wachu want Jalen Johnson.'' I say looking at my phone ''Another chance'' He says to me. ''no'' I walk past him and got to the bathroom. 

I look for Athena and Winter until I see them with a group of boys. Winter waves at me to come over. I look at them and notice one it the guy from earlier. ''J.J this is Jalen, Shareef, Dior, Mikey, Caleb, Lamelo anddd Josh.'' She says pointing at every one of them. ''Well hey guys, my names Journee.'' I tell them giving them a smile. They were very tall is all I can say. 

''I like that name'' Josh tells me. ''Thanks, its pretty wierd in my opinion.'' I tell him, taking a sip out of my cup.  ''Nahh, it matches you...perfectly'' He replies. I blush a bit at his comment. 

''So are you guys from Arizona state?'' I ask the boys. ''yep, '' they reply. ''Well most of us are from cali but we moved to Arizona to play.'' Mikey tells us. ''Thats cool, we might be going to Arizona state orrr The university of Utah.'' Winter tells them. ''Go to Arizona State, its so much more better.'' Josh laughs.  ''of course, you guys go there that why yall think that.'' Athena says to them laughing. I'm a bit shy so at first I don't talk that much but get to know me, I promise.

'' Do you guys want any drinks?'' Caleb asks us. ''no'' we all  say at the same time. We where all having a nice conversation until Dior says ''Why don't Journee talk.''  ''oh she does, shes just shy as fuck at first'' Athena says to them. We talk for longer until I check that it's 3 am. ''Girls its late'' I tell them. ''god it is, we should get going.'' Winter says.

''Hold on, lets exchange numbers'' Shareef says pulling out his phone. ''Yeah of course'' replies Athena. We exchange numbers and then leave the party. ''I'm staying the night at Winter's and so is Athena.

''Girlll Josh is in love with you'' Athena squirms. ''not! but he isss cute'' I tell them. '' Sharife is so hot!'' Winter yells. only Winter. ''nahh Jalen can have it'' Athena laughs. ''I but can we please move to Arizona'' I say. ''Thats what I was thinking'' Athena says. ''Their dance team is lit'' Winters replies.
